Hi New2Aussie, how exciting! I can confirm this for you. You will submit the application from your account, and start a new application for your sponsor within your account using your reference number. He then has to complete this application (same as the 40SP form). If you have any questions feel free to send me a DM as I wrote blog posts about this as well that I can share with you. All the best with preparing and submitting your application.

With 2 children, that gives both of us an extra 120 upload spaces. I'm not sure if it does hold it up, having children involved. As long as they have all of the paperwork (form 1229, custody paperwork, birth certificates), I don't see how it would slow it down. Unless they are doing checks for that. Most applications are taking between 12-15 months...with the average seeming to be about 13 from low risk. So, you're still in that window. I know I'll probably be the same as you, worrying about it a year from now. But, as long as you provided enough evidence to prove the continuing, ongoing relationship, you'll be fine. Have you continued to gather evidence? You can always upload more evidences over the past year. I have heard that they sometimes do ask for more to show that the relationship is still going strong, particularly with how long they take now to do the 820s. If it makes you feel better, you could always add some more and put them in the appropriate categories. Then, at least, you'll feel a bit better and can give more information. Have you been asked for medicals? PCCs? I'm getting ready to send off for my FBI check. But waiting a few months for the medicals.

Hang in there! At least you're getting to the end of your wait. I'm sure you'll hear something soon.

I was asked for police checks and medicals back in early August. I had already submitted my canadian police check and I promptly did my medicals and submitted my Aussie police check...and no correspondence since. I'm not sure what else I could add in terms of evidence to show we are still continuing on together - I have already submitted so much - I have some more photos, but I think I already overdid my photos.....We haven't taken any trips or anything like that together since my original application - life has just been work, work, work, and taking care of the kids! I think I just need to be patient...and hope for some good news!

So we already have the 40SP filled out ready to upload...can I upload it on my account instead of having him fill it out on my account?

Yes, that's what we did. We used my account and uploaded everything through there.

Yes, that's about all we can do is be patient. I'm sure you'll hear something any day at this point, if they've requested the checks and medicals. Hoping to see your Grant post one day soon!

My partner did the paper 40sp, which I uploaded with my application and then he did the online one after I applied for the visa. Again, he did it on my immi account. He won't be able to do his until he has your reference number. We did it both ways just to be on the safe side. But I also have some extra requirements that I had to meet for mine. I do know that once you submit your application, your partner will need to submit his.

Hey guys,

Anyone on this forum that has applied for 820 in November/December 2015 and got the generic email asking to provide more info?

I did my medical and police check at the beginning, but I am bit concern that I haven't been contacted at all from immigration. (Except the acknowledgement letter and bridging visa when I first applied)

I am freaking out now...

Thanks

Hey, same here only I've applied on Sept 30 but received the same generic email 11 weeks ago. Still nothing and no contact from immigration. I provided my medical & police checks when I lodged my app. My guess is try not to freak out but just wait... Nothing much more we can do, even though it's super frustrating and gets on my nerves as well!
