Congratulations!

Hi Lois - Wonderful news. We have seen a couple of quicker decisions lately so maybe things are speeding up a bit in DIBP partner processing. Enjoy your life together in Oz. Very best wishes to you both... :)

I applied onshore on December 11th 2013, I am from the UK and my partner is Australian.

SO happy :)

Thankyou! Really happy :) i have seen a couple that were applied for in December approved in May. It seems a bit unfair for people who applied beforehand, I was thinking I was in it for the long haul 13 months! Hopefully it just means they are granting them more quickly.

Hello, havent posted in a while but just submitted my 820/801 online and recieved my bridging visa. I believe its a bridging visa A but it does not specify on the email i recieved. If anyone could let me know, ive been in australia three months and need to start looking for work to help support my fiance and our family.

It actually IS on the attachment you received. Open the email about your bridging visa, then open the attachment: IMMI Bridging Visa Grant Notification.pdf. When you open it, scroll down - Page 3 should contain your "Bridging Visa Grant Notice," and in that table, it lists "Bridging Visa Class." Did you maybe just not notice there was a 3rd and 4th page?

If you were already on a substantive visa, applying for the 820, there's no reason it shouldn't be an A.

Was it a paper application or online?
What country and what is the situation prior? Work visa, student visa, tourist visa? Children?

Sorry I'm just curious.

My partner and I applied on 4 March 2014. I am originally from Malaysia and he is Australian. Acknowledgement letter had been received on 6 March 2014. Currently, on waiting list.

Hi all, Its been awhile since I posted, but still read regularly.

Still waiting...is now almost 14 months since we applied and still have heard nothing from immi...zilch...nada...zero!

I am thinking it may be a good idea to email them, has anyone else done this?

Hope everyone is well :)
