Still waiting

Hi Amor - we're still waiting too - 10 months. They will probably just ignore your email until at least 15 months have passed. I think it's better to take the 'no news is good news' approach. Best wishes for a decision soon. I'll be watching your posts. Cheers...

Still waiting...is now almost 14 months since we applied and still have heard nothing from immi...zilch...nada...zero!

I am thinking it may be a good idea to email them, has anyone else done this?

Hope everyone is well

Hi,

Can you share your application details, date of lodgement/place etc?

We have been waiting since last June and I have mailed and called them a couple of times. But they wont say anything until you have waited for 13 months. Since you have waited more than 13 months, maybe you can call them? They have a system where you can leave your number and they call you back in about 1 hour. So no waiting line.

Goodluck!

Hi- thanks, good luck to you too!

We applied at Perth office, March 2013. Hubby is Brazilian

I did call them today and was told that no one has looked at our file as yet :O but she was pulling the file out herself and giving it to the manager of that team....so thats something I guess. She did say that waiting times are now 18 months on average - the times are just getting longer and longer. Theres almost no point in having a 2 stage visa!

Congrats!! Happy to help. Which office did you apply through and did it come from?

We have just applied through Brisbane but BVA grant has come from Melbourne...

We are still waiting on our marriage certificate, we lodged while waiting because saw it takes a couple of months and we could get a head start on the waiting times

Hello Mish!I applied online and BVA was granted electronically from ACT.And the grant was from Brisbane.

I had lodged my 820 without marriage certificate too, then later on uploaded it.It took us a month to receive our marriage certificate,so terrible.Im pretty sure you will be granted next once you received your certificate.

Wow that is great to know. I spoke to bdm the other day and they have had system problems in brisbane so is taking them ages. They said another week or 2. We only had a few things left to attach but without a marriage certificate it doesn't worry me. I attached our unofficial one incase anyone looks at it.

How long did it take to grant after you attached it?

I did the same attached the unofficial marriage certificate, then uploaded the registered one,and didn't hear anything from them,or any case officer assigned but after a week since the upload,i received the grant.
