Thank you everyone so much. Hope you guys will get you visa approvals soon.
Now its time for me to collect more documents for the second stage!!

Cheers.

Congratulations Michelle!

We applied 6 months ago today. Feels like forever, and looks like we still have forever to wait! *sigh*

I'm curious at what point everyone is choosing to submit medicals/police checks these days. I'm anxious to get moving as we have 3 or 4 police checks to arrange and they may take a while, but very conscious of the fact that the waiting times may grow ever longer throughout 2017.

I applied at Immigration office so I had to wait for them to send me an HIP ID for health check, if you applied online, you can see that ID in your account and after one year you can book in for health check.
I submitted my first police check with my application but that one didnt have my preferred name on it so they asked me to submit the update one

Mens medical exam

I hear a lot about women's experiences, but not about what men go through during their onshore visa medical exam. It seems like women have it easy, but do men experience the same exam or should I mentally prepare myself for anything invasive? I'm 30

Hi! So just a little update.. I asked them if they had safely received all the emails with PDF files - they responded and confirmed of the safe receipt of all the emails!
They were submitted about a week and half before the Christmas break started, so I think its hopefully about time they will start looking at the addiional info I had sent through soon.

By the way, another question... When you are conctacted for additional information, I would assume their assessment has already begun, thus ADDITIONAL info, so would it be safe to assume everything else besides the new required additional evidence is all clear and competent for the visa approval for them?

After 10 months of waiting I finally heard something from the DIBP. Wahoo! It was just the generic "your case will be allocated to a case officer soon", but still! haha

I feel like it might still be 6 more months until I hear anything else though, sigh.

Where did you apply from?

I applied one month before you, and few weeks back received a request for AFP check and form 80, which I submitted 2 weeks ago. Since then - silence, but am hoping that something is happening at the background...

I applied online as well (but located in Brisbane). Hopefully the rest of our journey will be smooth sailing!
