Hi,
I am living in Aus only 1 year 3 months, I haven't gotten the request for police check but want to prepare ahead, do you know if I can ask for police check when I live here that much? I tried to apply online but it said I must live in this address for 5 years.
Thanks.

My agent did the police check for me so I can't say I actually know what it looks like, however I've only been in the country for 4 years. On top of that Immi want one if you've been here 12 months so it stands to reason you can get it!

Has anyone else seen the message on the log in page to immi?

PLANNED SYSTEM MAINTENANCE

If you intend to commence and/or submit your application form, please do so and ensure that you have attached supporting documents before 9pm on Friday 3 March 2017. All applications in ImmiAccount which have not been lodged will show as ‘Incomplete’ following the system outage.
Do you think our uploaded documents will disappear? I like being able to see what's up there.

don't worry lot of people here are waiting longer than 15 months like me so that is not unusual and no need for stress because that visa 820 don't change much ........visa 801 is actually what we all waiting for

OMG my partner's 820 partner visa got approved today . We applied on the 1st August 2016 and got news this morning.

Just wanted to specially thank everyone on the forum , its been comforting to read other people's experiences whilst we had been waiting.

So even though we provided those information in question such as the stat dec and proof of joint membership joint bills
We still have to provide more information?

We used up all our upload limit on the online application.
How can we provide more after when the maximum has been reached?
I know i should have put more thought to it before uploading as i assumed we could delete

But we provided the form 80 over email advising them that we couldnt upload anymore and they approved the subclass 820

Even though you pay for the 801 WITH the 820, it is a separate application. Meaning, once your two year anniversary comes along, you will open up a new application for the 801 on the immi website (assuming you are applying online). All the info you upload is "new" information. The police checks are for the year between your 820 grant and your 801 grant. Similarly, the 888's and stat decs are supposed to detail you and your partner's relationship (daily routines, that you are still committed to one another etc) from the time your 820 was granted to when you apply for the 801. Joint bills, tickets etc. should be dated from the date you received your 820 grant onward. So if you received your 820 on 1 March 2017, then all your bills and similar documents should be dated 1 March 2017 or later. Sometimes immigration will ask for info from sometime before your 820 was granted as well. Hope this helps!

For the 820 you and your partner were supposed to prove that you were in a genuine de facto relationship; for the 801 you are to prove you are STILL in a genuine de facto relationship.
