Just want to check how much is standard and whether any of it means I actually need to do something.

So the first part says:

So I will do this as I haven't submitted this yet.

It then goes on to talk about Providing Documents - I think we attached all the necessary documents. Is this just standard in the request for information letter?

Translating Documents - we didn't provide a translation of my Spanish police check so I will do this.

Certified copies - we didn't certify anything apart from our stat decs as we did our application online. Is this just standard?

Great news Arabella! Considering you applied around the same time as me.... I hope this is a sign I hear something soon as well. Keep us posted :D!

Definitely will do!

Have re-read the letter since getting home and now I'm thinking I only need form 80. The only thing on the checklist is as below:

Quote:

Personal particulars for character assessment
So does that just mean form 80 or are they talking about getting my police check translated as well?

The translation bit isn't on the checklist.

Question 7 (expect more of this)

Quote:

Do you currently hold citizenship of any other country
Other than where? Australia? So do I need to put the UK in here?

Dooda 03-06-2017 06:17 AM

Yes for me, Form 80 Personal particulars for character assesment is what you can also see in immi account. It is both evidence and document type.

The other one is CHARACTER, evedince of - Document type: AFP,FBI, police check, others and Form 80 personal particulars for character assessment too.

Hm...given that they are specifically asking for the form 80, I'm assuming that this is not a "standard" or "generic" email. My generic email started out by stating: "If you have already provided the information below, this letter does not apply to your specific circumstances or if your Partner visa application has already been finalised, please disregard." It then listed all the required and recommended documents.

On certifying: If you haven't certified any COPY (ie. anything other than an original colour scan), then you should do so now. Everything that isn't in colour that you scanned into your computer has to be certified.

Translations: Yes, you are correct. Your Police checks have to be in English

Form 80: I don't think the "recommended" or "required" logos ever change. However, often your application status will change from "received" to "addition information requested". Is there anything on your immi page stating that additional info has been requested? For the question you're asking about...you simply list anywhere else aside from your home country where you hold citizenship. :)

You put UK already in Q6, Q7 is other than UK I believe.:D

On the letter, it's written:

Personal particulars for character assessment
Complete form 80 Personal particulars for your assessment including character assessment. This is a supplementary form required to support your application.
And Personal particulars for character assessment is written on the checklist. So is this just the form 80?

I have already submitted all my police checks, just one of them happens to be in Spanish but on the checklist there's nothing about translating documents.

Dooda 03-06-2017 06:31 AM

Yes it is.:)

Ok so I won't worry about getting my police check translated.

I now know why I didn't do this form before...

Question 6 doesn't actually ask me where my citizenship is from so they're just assuming it's the place mentioned in question 1? I did say I gained it by birth.

Onto the travel history...

When I applied originally, I mentioned places I'd travelled to in 2005. Am I just doing my travel history 10 years prior to now or 10 years prior to my application (given that my application was a whole year ago)?

Note: Documents in languages other than English must also be accompanied by an accurate English translation of each of those documents. If you are having documents translated in Australia, it is recommended that you use a translator who has been accredited by the National Accreditation Authority for Translations and Interpreters (NAATI). Otherwise it is recommended that you use a translator who is professionally qualified.
It is in your interest to provide all the documents requested with your valid application. Failure to do so may result in the processing of your application being delayed, or a decision being made to refuse to grant the visa.

Q6, yep no question where citizenship is but I put No in Q7

Travel history, I reckon 10 years prior to now.Because today is the day you will sign the form 80.
