Thanks SharKs,

I did apply in Vic and got the grant letter from the Vic office.

I hope you get your visa soon!

Congrats to those who got their visas!

Just to give you an update... After spending three evenings filling in form 80, I've listed 11 address in four countries for the last ten years. About half of these probably weren't on my police check as I lived there for less than 12 months and would've been having any significant post sent to my parents' house anyway. They would've been places I lived for 9 months or less whilst at university/on university exchanges abroad.

Also, I've filled in five "personal contacts in Australia" for questions 47 and 48. Question 47 I put my husband, question 48 I put my brother-in-law, my sister-in-law and two friends.

Thought I'd let you know in case anyone else is currently trying to fill out this monster of a form.

Also, I'm not going to get my Spanish police check translated. As far as I can tell from what I've been sent, they've only asked me to complete form 80 as additional information. Hoping if they want the police check translated they would've asked now (it's one of the options on the letter but it's not on my checklist). Hope that makes sense to someone...

Hmmm... I'm wondering whether I should put in an 'updated form 80', and also include the countries I visited in the past year, and add some more personal contacts. Would it be weird if I have two form 80s uploaded? An old one and an updated one?

Personally I wouldn't bother unless they ask you for it but then I'm lazy like that. The information was up-to-date at the time of your application.

I never did form 80 with my application because when I applied not everyone was being asked for it and, quite frankly, I couldn't be bothered to fill it out unless I had to.

I've just scanned my form so I can upload once I get back to the office. I've hand written in and now typed it up and I'm still worried I e missed something or won't have filled it out satisfactorily.

Is it normal for your application to say "Assessment in Progress" after you submit the info requested? Is it automatic or does it mean someone's actually looked at it? I'm guessing automatic...

My husband's application has been approved.

Wow! Your husband's application has been approved!! Looks promising and I believe that there has been a CO assigned and looking at your application. Hope you get your visa grant within 24hrs after uploading your form80. Might take a while but you are getting there.

It's automatic, but it DOES mean they are looking at your application. I would expect an approval letter very shortly if I were you. Once the same happened to me, I got my grant within a week. However, there have been other users who got theirs within a day, and another who waited an extra month.
