Congratulations! That must be such a relief . This keeps my hopes up I will hear something too, eventually... hopefully soon. I applied about a month after you.

Congratulations!

Gives me hope too.

How do you know if you've been assigned a CO? I was asked for form 80 on 6th March and my application says Assessment in Progress so does that mean we were assigned a CO? 2 weeks since I submitted form 80 today.

My partner received a phone call from the case officer and then she emailed him as well.
Also when we logged in to our immi account--> application status, it said that "an email has been send requesting more information, please click on information updated button after you send us the information required." So after we submitted the information they asked for, we clicked on the information submitted button on our immigration account.

Check your immigration account. Did you click on the "information provided" button after submitting your form 80?

Yeah I've definitely clicked that button and my application says "Assessment in Progress".

How long have people generally waited to get their visas after form 80? What's the longest?

We've had no phone call from a CO that I'm aware of. Unless I'm being called from Brisbane (applied in Vic and being processed in Vic I think) but I'm fairly sure that the number calling me from Brisbane was a charity asking me to sponsor a child because I answered it once...

Hi
Well the time can be different in each case. I know my friend's case officer took 3 weeks after she submitted all the documents. In our case it took just a day. So I guess it depends on how much time the case officer to takes to go through the document and how many cases she has in her hands. But the difficult part is over. Now I think it should not take much time.

I'm still waiting I'd really like to get it today. This will be my third weekend of waiting and it sucks to know that I'd have to wait till at least Monday before it being granted if I don't get it today.

One hour to go before the weekend starts and no visa yet I hate waiting!

It's not like it's even going to make much difference to me (apart from the fact I'm going to NZ in July) but I just want to know I've got it!

Ive been reading this forum for ages but posting for the first time.

Just got an e-mail this morning (Saturday?!?) with my Grant Notice.

Applied online from QLD on 6th of January 2016. Almost 15 months.
Two weeks ago while on holidays at home (Brazil) got an e-mail requesting police checks updated. Uploaded them on Friday the 17th and got the approval today.

Thanks for all the tips and good luck everyone.
