Thanks,

We did parents and siblings only.
I know we got one siblings date of birth wrong. But it didn't seem to hurt.

How long did it take for folks to receive their AFP checks in the post? Submitted them today, so want to get a good idea of how long they will take.

Also, on Form 80...where it asks Have you been to Australia before...I only had the one ETA Business visa...but I left Australia and came back 3 times. I listed all those times. Was that the correct thing to do, even though it was the same visa? There really isn't room to put the visa expiry date or anything to clarify that it was the same visa. I'm probably overthinking this, but want to get it uploaded and get that grant soon! Also, reason for Further Stay...I put: Applied for 820/801 Partner visa to live with my partner. Is that good? Then, question 28 asks "Are you applying for a temporary visa?" I checked no, since it's 820/801...leading to a permanent visa. Not sure if I'm answering these correctly and of course, second guessing myself. Would love your feedback, folks!

Ours took exactly one week.

Hi guys

My partner got his TR on 21st march, 2017. My partner now has an opportunity to work in Montreal for a year. I am just wondering how does our move affect our application? We applied on-shore in Sydney but can we still move to Montreal for work while he is on his TR?

We applied for the AFP check yesterday, and got an email in the arvo saying that it was done and that it will be posted the next business day. Then below it said it could take between 3 and 5 business days to be delivered. I was pretty happy with that.

For further stay we put, "to stay with my husband and children". Seemed pretty obvious...

Just checked, we ticked temporary. Probably by mistake, now that I think about it, lols. I'm not too sure how important that is though. Don't worry about it...

Perfect! Thanks for that JandE and MarcellusF! I know that we got the emailed results back for my AFP for employment in just 48 hours...but didn't know if this was a different thing or not. Both my partner and I had AFPs done as we work in the schools...so we submitted those originally. But they requested new ones with the Box 33 checked (for immigration). Finished all of the AFPs online, so that will be good to get them in a week.

Hmm, now I'm wondering if I should check temporary or not on Form 80. I mean, ultimately it's for a PR...but the first stage is a TR. Ugh! Well, I guess I'll just leave it as is, unless someone else chimes in. My thinking was that on the Medical HAP form, it stated the medical was for the 801 PR. So, I figured the Form 80 would be the same. Yea, I'm probably overthinking it. LOL

Congratulations SharKs!! I hope to hear that you got your 801 as well

Still waiting over here. Coming up to the three week mark after they told me I'd have it within a month. Wondering whether to poke them again?

Thank you! I hope you'll get yours soon. Surely it can't take that much longer. Yes I emailed them this morning about the 801... saying I thought the criteria for the 801 were met as well.... otherwise I could have applied months earlier . No response yet, I've been checking my email all day... very distracting :P

Poke em! Give them a call or send an email asking if they need anything else. Light a fire under their bums.

Hang in there, Sharks! If you met the requirements, then I think they probably just overlooked it. I've heard of a few people having to actually ask for the 801 as well. They may grant it, they may not. Regardless, never hurts to try! So happy for you! Congrats again!

It's been nearly 14 months since we applied in WA with AFP check and medical completed. My partner is from a low risk country too with our application pretty straight forward. What is the email I can get in contact with to push them along?
