Fingers crossed! As my case officer is based in London (which confuses me as mine was an onshore application) i'm hoping to wake up to sound good news one day! The case officer emails me at like 2-3am!

I think with the holidays in April it has made everything a little slower, hopefully will get some news soon
Yep, that's the gist of it. Waiting some more. I'm not complaining, as they are processing mine fairly quickly. However, I'll be on edge until I get that grant! We had some other circumstances that we had to deal with. So, until we get that grant, we're going to be nervous.

Congratulations!! Such good news! Now go and celebrate!

I have had no response to my email from two weeks ago... the automated response says they aim to respond within two weeks. I'm flying to Europe tomorrow, not sure if I should remind them... I'm pretty sure they can grant the 801 even if I'm away, right?

You should be fine. Here's the wording for the 801:

"For permanent Partner visa grants, [...] If you lodge your application while you are in Australia, you may be either in or outside Australia when the permanent Partner visa (subclass 801) is granted."

I called my CO today to let her know that I've uploaded the information she requested and asked if she needed anything else to finish processing my visa application. She checked that she'd received the information, verified that I'd sent the AFP checks and Form 80s. I told her that I'd uploaded them under my son's name as my upload limit was reached on mine and since they'd approved my sponsor, I couldn't upload anything on his name. She stated that was all she needed and that she'll finish processing it. Hoping I don't have to wait for external checks on the Form 80s. Keeping my fingers crossed that I get good news soon!!

Thank you! Yes, it was fast. One day shy of 7 months. However, we had to meet Schedule 3 requirements, as I applied for the 820 while on a BVA. Hence, they were looking at ours a lot sooner. Still, they requested the S3 criteria in November and I supplied it the next day. Didn't hear a peep from them again, until I'd completed my Medicals. So, I think the medical results arriving prompted them to process it.

I hope you hear soon that you've gotten your 801! Then you won't have to worry about any of this anymore. They do usually take 2 weeks to respond to emails. But I'd call them, too. That seems to get a quicker response.

Jesus that was quick! I ain't heard a peep from anyone since I emailed the Perth office. We applied a week after you. I'm guessing you're initial schedule thingymajig is the big difference here.

Either way, super congrats.

That could be, due to the S3 requirements. They look at those applications faster, as they are very quick at refusals. But, as I said, I supplied that in November and heard nothing until I did medicals in April. The day Immi received my medical results is the day the CO called me requesting Form 80 and new AFP checks. I fully believe it was the medicals that prompted them to process my application. This has been a loooong road to getting the visa. Regardless, I know how very lucky I am and I'm so thankful for it! I feel like a huge weight has been lifted.
