I hear you! Just over 14 months and never hear anything.

I need to apply for BVB as well. Did you submit your copy of a plane ticket?
Thank you.

No , I didn't submit anything. Just filled out the form, paid the amount and they sent the BVB. Took less than a week. They usually don't give it until about 2 weeks before you leave, but I did mine a month before and had it within a week.

I completed my medical Thursday and my medical clearance was uploaded to my application on Friday. My application status has now changed to "Assessment in progress" so hoping to hear something soon!

We uploaded the Bupa code 2 months ago and 6 months after applying. Nothing changed. Still readers "received".

Balls.

Hi,

So my partner and I had been living together for over three years when we applied for the partner visa, and it finally got granted last month, more than 15 months after we applied. Even though they said they can grant the permanent one straight away if we met this criterion (de facto > 3 years at time of application), they granted us the 820. I've been trying to find out if it was a mistake that we were only granted the 820 and if I'm eligible for 801, and have sent two follow-up emails, but did not get a single reply. Any idea how I can get people to respond to my emails? The automated reply said they would try to respond within two weeks (question 23 of automated reply), but it has been over a month now ...

Perhaps give them a call? Did you get a CO? I believe Sharks on here is having the same issue...should have gone straight to 801, but only received the 820. When you applied, you'd already been together for over 3 years? If it's just now that you have 3 years, then you'd only be eligible for the 820. However, if at time of application for the 820 you have had a relationship for 3 years prior (not just dating), then you should go straight to 801. Best of luck!!

Haha yes I am SharKs . But yes, we'd been living together for over 3 years when we applied (in a relationship for over 4)... now we've lived together for around 4.5 and been in a relationship for 5.5 years, known each other for 6.5 years.. I might try to send an enquiry form through the website, see if someone from the permanent visa office can respond to my query... calling is difficult because I work on weekdays.

Hey guys exciting news! My visa was granted this morning!

Such a relief having it come through and much quicker than we thought! Our timeline was:

Applied: Oct 18 2016
Medical requested: May 12 2017
Medical completed: May 18 2017
Visa granted: May 22 2017

We submitted our application with everything (police checks etc) except the medical and it took just over 7 months
