I emailed immi a couple of weeks ago and received two replies, one from the administrator and one from the case officer so I'm happy about as they were not copy and paste but they talk about this public criteria which I know is going to take more than a year!

Hi College Girl,
I lodged my 820/801 visa in paper application today(June 3, 2014), thru express post addressed to Sydney as povided by Parramatta Immigration Office Staff. We went there and the customer service staff said, I can said submit it either online or post. I chose the post. I had it posted today on express post that means,it will arrive within 24 hours from today.
I would like to know how to update my timeline. How will i do it? I would appreciate it very much if you could direct me where to go.

I feel like they're being nicer lately, an email today saying we won't need to redo the medicals and police check and that everything is great from the relationship perspective, just awaiting security check. So if my partner wasn't from Pakistan, , we'd be granted already! Lol. Our CO is so kind and compassionate, I have faith.
