I think they just didn't look at it. My application went from 'received' to 'granted' the day I informed them my application was complete (like 3 hours after I told them). No way they looked at all my evidence in 3 hours. I think they overlooked it and now don't want to go back and check the evidence, even though I told them exactly which evidence supports we've been living together >3 years at the time of applying. I should have just applied earlier instead of waiting until we were defacto 3 years... i thought at least then we don't have to go through it twice

When you said "I informed them", which channel you used? Do you have your CO direct number or via email?

And I wonder for those who have been contacted by their CO, which number that CO used? No caller ID or land line or mobile?

All government departments within Australia call from private numbers (no call id).

I sent an email to their office saying my application was complete. There was no communication before or after that from my CO, only the 820 grant a couple of hours later. At the time I sent the email the application status was still 'received', and it didn't look like anyone had looked at it yet. Because we uploaded so much evidence from when we met (2011) until the end of 2016, I find it hard to believe they looked at everything in the time between my email and the grant. I get the feeling they overlooked it because they granted it quite quickly and I think they don't want to look at it again.

UPDATE!

So I called today, and they basically gave me the same answer (we can't do anything about it...). And then I emailed (responding to yesterday's email) asking for clarification on why the 801 was refused. A couple of hours later the CO called me and said she would be able to look at it again, and that they were really busy and she had to look at the application in more detail, so I had to be prepared that it may take a couple of days. A couple of hours later again she left a voicemail saying she looked at my bank statements, and after that I got my 801 GRANT! So happy right now.... mainly super relieved it's over . Thank you all, this forum helped me immensely.

Hopefully you hear from them soon too. It was unexpected as we did not even know who our case officer was.
