I applied for the 820 a bit over a month ago and while it feels like a relief, I have been feeling stressed by the feeling of having no status for the next year(s). But my partner always tell me that I shouldn't worry about it. We're together, I'm working, we're saving for a house deposit and we are able to plan our future together. All in all as long as we're together the rest doesn't really matter. And he keeps reminding me that worst case scenario he'll move to my home country with me if we have to. His words really helped me realise that we're lucky and that as long as we have each other, life will be good.
Our other halfs are worth it and we're lucky to be able to live together in beautiful Australia. (sorry just wanted to share a bit of positivity on this gloomy day)

On the 3/01/17 we were asked to provide compelling reasons to waive schedule 3.
Since then no contact at all.
It will be 20 months of waiting tomorrow!!
Is anyone else waiting this long??
Yes, you can request an update if it has been 20 months or longer. Just send an email to where you received the request from, or give them a call!

Hello all, this is my first time posting in this forum after being a silent reader for a few months thanks so much for all your posts as they have been really helpful.
I applied for my 820 in Sep 2016 (without agent) and I attached all the required documents within a few days of lodging the application, including overseas police clearance but not AFP police check as I had not been in Australia for a year at that time. I didn't hear anything until the 9th of June when I received an email requesting for Form 80, Health Check and AFP Police Check. However there is no CO information in the email, seems like I have yet to be assigned one. I quickly organised for all these, I had my medical done on the 14th (clearance provided within a couple of days) and I received my NPC through the post on the 19th and uploaded this and my form 80 on the same day. I have been checking my ImmiAccount quite frequently since then as I'm excited to finally hear something (but I also feel sorry for some of us who have had 15+month waiting time..), however in my ImmiAccount, the application status is still 'received', there has been no change at all in the status since I applied. Is it normal to have no status change even though we have been asked for further documents? Looking forward to any advice from you guys, and I wish good news to all of us.

Yeah, I got the same email around the same time, asking for a whole bunch of things in a very generic way. I figure it was an automatic thing.

I applied a month after you. Here's hoping that in the new financial year we get some love from the Department.

Was there any change in your ImmiAccount status? Mine hasn't changed at all, still says 'received'. Really hope we get some love from the Department in the new financial year

I wouldn't pay too much attention to the status on the immiaccount. There have been people have checked 1.5 hours before their grant and it was still in received status.
