Right?

One more question: Is it a must to submit the Form 80 and National Police Check of my husband ( sponsor) now or we can wait until the immigration requests us to provide? My husband is Australian. Some of the questions in Form80 seems not to apply for him. I wonder if it only applies for people with PR?
1) You can apply for Medicare now. You do not have to wait for the BVA.
2) You DO have to inform immigration if you leave the country even if you're still on your visitor visa, as they cannot grant the 820 visa if you are offshore.
3) Yes. If you leave and come back, your BVA will not kick in until you pass the new 3 month window that will be reset when you re-enter the country. As others have told you, if you cancel the visitor visa, it will cancel your BVA and you'll be here illegally. Do NOT cancel your visitor visa!

Do you have children? If so, your husband will have to do an AFP check. If you don't, they may not ask for it. If they do ask for it, it only takes about a week to get in the post.

you can only upload documents once you've submitted and paid

2 questions:

1.) Does the online system require us to make payment right away or at the very end of the whole application? you can save application and go back to it before submitting (don't need to do everything in one sitting) however In order for your application to be submitted you have to pay, either by credit card or PayPal. You can also pay by BPAY in which case they require payment within 3 days of submission.

2.) Will the official application date be date of us first starting the application (month before our 12 month de facto) or is it the day we hit the official submission button?from date of submission
My replies in bold above

Eligible for Medicare as soon as online application is submitted, don't have to wait for BVA to kick in.

I think there's a way to request work rights on a visitor visa while waiting for a BVA but you have to show hardship or something like that. Talk to an RMA but definitely don't lose your visitor visa before you do.

Thanks LadyRogueRayne!

Abt the Statutory declaration, do I must use the Stat Dec form or I can write the Statement of relationship and be witnessed and call it the Stat Dec of statement of relationship. Because basically, I wrote my statement in the format of Stat Dec and be witnessed already. A bit confusing before attach it.

If you're talking about an applicant or sponsor stat dec, it doesn't have to be witnessed if you're applying online. But if you already did it, just upload it like that. The narrative sections of the online application are actually your personal statements on the relationship so if you typed those is, uploading another statement is just extra. Some people also choose to type in those boxes of thr online "See attached statement" instead of filling them in and only do a separate statement.

Hi all,

I've applied for my 820/801 in november 2016 (online, based in Melbourne). I received a request for more information (police checks, health exam and form 80) last month. I've uploaded all the requested documents a week ago. Has anyone else here applied around the same time an received the same email? Does this mean that we could possibly get a decision soon? It still says application in progress (immi account). Thanks!

We applied in October. Got the same email a few weeks ago. Think it's just an automatic thing

If it says 'application in progress', that might mean someone has looked at it.... mine stayed in 'received' status until someone looked at it (mine was granted straight away, no requests for further info), so it may be moving along!

Hi Alice,

DIAC sent through the same generic email to ask for me to provide any missing information which was my medical, so I went ahead and did that and health clearance was provided on 27 Feb 2017.

Last week 21 June 2017 I was assigned a case officer and asked to provide one missing document. Fingers and toes crossed it's all processed very soon. I hear they try to push through lots the week before the end of the financial year (this week) but who knows.
