I applied 06 Sep 2016 same time as you and received that generic email on 21 Feb 2017, my application was front loaded - all I was missing was my medical which I uploaded on 27 Feb 2017.
I didn't hear a word until last week 21 June 2017 (4 months since the first generic email) and now I have been assigned a case officer requesting one missing document, I have sent that in and now my status has changed from ''received'' to ''assessment in progress"
You can't be too far behind as we both applied in Sept 2016.
I have already booked my medical check on this Wednesday. I know it's most likely an automatically generated email but I just hope it would make it quicker to have a case officer assigned for me. Fingers crossed lol. I noticed that quite many people who applied mid last year got this email last month. I do hope they are pushing through before the financial year ends, though only a few days left...Anyway good luck to you!:)
Hi it's me again, :D
Just looked backwards a few hundreds of replies in this thread, found many useful information. Unfortunately, when lodged my application I didn't know this Forum at all. :(
I did the best I could back then. Uploaded nearly 100 photos, heaps of bills and a full copy of chat histories etc. I hope the person who will look at my file won't be overwhelmed. :p
Good luck to those who are still waiting for 820 and of course to myself.
that's great news! hopefully you will get the grant soon, keep us updated :)
I applied on 24 Sep 2016, received the request for form 80, medical and NPC on 9 Jun 2017 and sent all these in by 19 Jun 2017. I was secretly hoping that this wasn't a generic email as they specifically requested for these 3 items which I had not provided initally, and not a full list of general documents, but not too sure though.. I haven't been assigned a case officer yet and my status still says 'received', so I'm still patiently waiting, probably gonna take some more time but that's okay, at least there has been some progress. Thanks for letting us know your timeline, it gives some idea on the progress and what to expect.
Fingers crossed, hopefully good news for everyone soon!
Currently I'm in Visitor visa 600 . I am going to submit the Partner visa 820/801 soon. And i have a question to ask
If i want to go out of Australia and want to apply for BVB for how long can i ask immigration to grant me the visa (i want to go for a month minimum to visit my parents )
If anyone can help me answer my question thank you very much!
Not sure if this is a new thing for the immi website but when I uploaded my document there's a button that says "information provided" I clicked that then my status changed from "information requested" to "assessment in progress"
My CO just sent a email requesting an additional document, so no telephone number.
My generic email looked like the below maybe you received something different. If they just requested afew documents, (they requested just one for my application) my status on my immi account was first "received" then it went to "information requested" then I clicked on the "information provided" button and it changed to "assessment in progress" - hope that makes sense
