If you haven't been assigned a CO though, you don't have anyone to call? Once you're given a CO, I'm assuming you then get a contact number. For the medical, I was told nothing had to be done on my part... once I completed it, Bupa would do the rest. Please tell me that's correct?!

Here's to hoping new grants soon in the new financial year. Woo. Fingers crossed!

Yeah Bulawayo will do their part once the medical is done. I just felt like replying to the generic email because I was hoping to push forward the process of my application lol

Oh okay! Well, I replied to the generic email about three weeks ago and I haven't heard anything haha. Safe to say it does nothing to speed up the process! Probably just gets lost amongst the 1000s of other emails they receive.

Out of general curiosity, I wonder how people become a CO or decide they want to do that.

I am curious too. And I think anyone who has been through the partner visa is competent to be a CO haha

Were you requested for medical right on the application day?

Wow, that's hectic! Did it come from an s32 email address or general partner.temporary email address?

I didn't receive any correspondence about a medical until a year + afterward of lodgment! Maybe things have changed with the new role out of rules for visas as of 1 July.

i did not received it from an email address, i just saw it on my immi account that says Medical Requested, so I printed the form with my Hap ID and arranged for appointment for my Medical. After a few days I checked again for the status of my medical on my immi account, it says Health Clearance Provided - No Action Required.

How about yours?

Oh okay, yeah I think that is the case for everyone as it is a requirement to have a medical so it's more of a automatic formality. I didn't do the medical right away because it is only valid for 12mo. I only did the medical once I received correspondence about Form80, Medical, and AFP check. So, I supplied my medical last month a day after I received an email about it. Who knows though... seems to be different for everyone!
