Hey everyone,
just wanted to jump on the bandwagon of 820 grants - mine was granted today exactly six months to the day after the department's acknowledgement of receipt of the application.
Good luck everyone!

I'm so excited to see all these six month grants! Really great. Gives me hope that maybe things are speeding up out there. Those of you recently granted in six months or so - did you apply decision-ready (i.e., medicals and police checks submitted with your application)?

Our application included everything apart from the medical - that was requested along with the initial acknowledgement, and completed within a couple of days of that. I got the very first available appointment I could, although the doctor told me that the DIBP's servers were down that day so she completed all the paper forms and it took a little over a week before the details were all uploaded and available to view online.

Also, it was a paper application, because the option to submit an online application wasn't qavailable at the time.

No...Mine was not a DR application....we submitted Dec 11th 2013

I supplied police checks (Aussie/Belgian) with my application...overseas one expired in February which I anticipated so had sent off for another one - which did not need to be translated a 2nd time

Medicals - I had these done about 2.5 weeks after my application was lodged.
