I got told the waiting time was 9-12 months!! I'm so lucky! Now the job hunting begins!

Good news! Which visa did you come from?

I am so happy to see so many grants this month but at same time I am a bit worried because ours hasn't been granted ... We applied in august 2013.

For those who had communication with their CO by email.. What email did you reply to? Is that the general partner immi email or is that a personal email?

The reason I am asking is because I have sent an email 2 weeks ago to the general email address and haven't got the automated reply that I got the other times I emailed them.

Thank you

Hi All,

Finally today we got a case officer assigned. They asked for AFP (Australian PCC) and Medicals. We are going to get that done next. Fingers crossed

Hi Ramyasharma

Thanks for your update. It looks like our visa decisions are getting closer. I have a couple of questions please.

1. Are you updating the police clearance and medical check supplied with your original application, or will you be providing them for the first time?

2. Did your case officer send you a HAP ID for your medical check?

Thanks in advance for your replies... cheers...

Hi Dinkum,

1. No I am not updating PCC or medicals. When we submitted the application, we had submitted PCC from India only, and my Husband had done Medicals for his Work visa 457 just before getting here. So now we are submitting PCC from Australia and Medicals for partner visa.

2. Yes, My CO has sent me a HAP ID for the check.

Hope that helps

Also maybe you should update both these documents, if your had not submitted them, or if they have expired. I think our turn is next

Hi Ramyasharma
Thanks heaps for your quick helpful reply. We did both police clearances at the beginning, and updated them this month as they expired. The health check is more expensive, so I think we'll wait and see if an update is asked for. College Girl mentioned that case officers have about 6 months discretion in this regard. Let's all keep our fingers crossed... Cheers and luck ...

Hi Everyone
My agent just asked me to find some witnesses and ask about our family member details.
Because I just dont have enough witnesses, my mum and my brother are permanent residents but they dont support our marriage so
I just have around 3 witnesses now. is that enough ? Because I see someone has 8 witnesses on this forum ( wow) . The agent advised me to have 5.
Because my husband case is a little bit tough so the more witnesses the better - He is on the Student visa MRT and now I want to sponsor him by 820.

They recommend atleast 5. What about friends? People who came to the wedding? We had about 13 or so statements from both oz and overseas.

Are those who got their 820 early or quickly from high or low risk countries?

Well, I've just joined the waiting game too.

Just submitted my application and payment online - time to start uploading all of my documents.

Is anyone ever NOT stressed thinking about their visa? I don't know how I'm going to wait so long for the decision.....
