Yes it seems like the quick ones are all coming from Aus Embassays offshore; the US applicants all seem to be coming out of Washington.
Exciting for us lucky ones with low risk straight forward apps; wishing luck to everyone else still waiting. |

Hi All,
Been reading through many pages here and all seems positive. I have had a really quick initial process from application to getting a CO Request. Figured I would share my current process with fingers crossed that the approvals after S56 are consistently quick Current IMMI Application Status: Further assessment Living with partner since: September 2016 Applied for 820: 20th September 2017 Completed Initial Forms: October/November 2017 CO contact: 12th February - S56 request AFP & ACRO police clearance and more proof of relationship Medicals: 16th February 2018 Police Clearances Uploaded: 7th March 2018 |
Grant!
Hey guys, after nearly 17 months I got my grant. Now to wait until October 20, 2018 when I can apply for permanent residency! To get past the first part is exciting, but here comes the stress of doing it all again. So happy though! Also I live in WA and it was approved by WA. Might be why I was in a long queue. Seems applications being sent offshore are faster!

Also, from what I can tell it's only newer applicants that are being sent offshore. Which isn't very fair to many like yourself who've been waiting a long time already! Nonetheless this is still great news and maybe your 801 will process much quicker Cheers! |

When we logged into our ImmiAccount, the same documents were in the correspondence area to open, download and save or print. If there are no attachments in your email, check your ImmiAccount and/or email your CO explaining that you don't have the attachments and ask for them to be resent. |

except offshore police checks Oct 24 '17, and received a request for offshore police checks first week of March '18. |
Hi everyone, I just got my 820 granted yesterday, half way through yay! So I applied on the 13th of Nov 2017, only finished attaching all the documents on mid Jan this year (I was a bit hopeless lol) then received an information needed email on Feb for the national police check from kuala lumpur office, after i attached the AFP i applied for a bridging visa B, got granted it last friday, and then the 820 came yesterday, i was like, can you guys refund my bridging visa fee plz :D
Overall it took them about 4 months which is way quicker than i expected! |
This forum has been super helpful with the application process.
We applied on December 19, 2017 and I just received an email from immi asking for the police certificates and the medical examination. Didn't expect such a quick turnaround. I also notice that the processing office is in Kuala Lumpur. Also just a quick question if anyone knows, if they ask for the police check/medical examination does that mean the documents I provided are sufficient (partner is from Canada so it is a low risk country). Quite anxious!! TIA. |

If they plan on approving your visa based on what you have and you had already submitted the medical and police checks, you probably would have received a grant email instead of a request for those things. Very likely a grant will come soon after you comply so get that stuff in asap! And yes, the fact that it's processed elsewhere is a positive because your app probably got picked up a lot sooner than it would have been otherwise. |
