My application is with Victoria office as well and I am on my 25th month. The latest correspondence I received was from a PIC team (Public Interest Criteria) in Victoria office which I found confusing and weird as there was a change of processing team in relation to my application.
Hi StellaT,

I always got an email from [email protected] since day 1.

Request 1 on 21 Dec 2015 by Linda (Temporary Partner Processing Centre - Victoria)

Request 2 on 2 November 2017 by Team 3 (Temporary Partner Processing Centre - Victoria)

Request 3 on 23 February 2018 by Team 4 (Temporary Partner Processing Centre - Victoria)
Hi Danny, I’m really grateful for your detailed information. I also received the first correspondence from Team 3 then the recent one from Team 4. The Team 4 in Victoria Office is a PIC team which is reflected on the auto-reply email I received right after my email enquiry sent to them. I found it strange that the processing team has changed but I guess my situation is no exception given yours has changed as well.

Hopefully your case will be like mine. Straight 801 without having to provide more 888 form etc.

Hey, I have something I am panicking about quite a lot.. 820 application was submitted 07/04/18, and as I went to attach the documents, the only option I had was to attach them as 'Other', I didn't think anything of it as my computer gave me nothing else!
I decided to check on my work computer just as I felt uneased about it, and up popped all of the correct options for file types.... I attached them again under the correct file names, now it looks as though I have added 57 documents out of the 60 allowed. Will this be something they could refuse a visa for? I'm kind of crapping my pants, I'm so nervous because it was a stupid mistake of mine 😫😫
Help pleaseeeee 😞

They won't refuse your visa for that specifically but you should not have uploaded everything all over again. The categories are irrelevant. You've just made a lot more work for the CO to now go through all those documents, half of which are repeats. The category options are to help you stay organized, not the CO. Hence why they are irrelevant. You can put them all under one or different ones, it doesn't matter.

Hi everyone,

We're new to this forum, my partner and I just applied for our partner visa online and we had a few questions. Hope you can help us.

Is there any information displayed in sponsor's account to show that they've linked sponsor's application to the applicant

Does the sponsor need to provide the australia police check or should we wait for them to request it?

Are all members of applicant (even non migrating) required to complete health test? i know the official document says yes. but in the applicants account under each family member it is written not required to provide health assessment

we have written individual statements for history of our relationship and joint statement for financial; nature of household, social aspects _ is that acceptable?
also we have combined history of relationship and nature of commitment ( one statetment for each person) _ will that be ok?

looking forward to hear from you.

Thanks,

Ronan and Kaz

Yes

Yes

No

No. Each of you needs a statement in your own words answering the 5 narrative questions in the online app. Answering them within the application counts as the statement or you can upload them separately. It's best if you put the answers in one pdf for the applicant and one pdf for the sponsor. Having your statement strewn about under 4 or 5 pdfs will be confusing.

Hi,

I'm British Indian, been with my husband for 2.5 years when we applied for the 820/801 and married in December 2016.

Application for 820/801 lodged: 24 January 2017 from Sydney via an agent. (I was issued my BVA immediately.)

No news after that until November when the DIBP requested my husband's police checks, particularly the US FBI clearance which took nearly 4 months to arrive.

Submitted AFP and FBI checks: 26 March 2018.
My Health, AFP, UK and Indian Clearance Requested: 2 April 2018
Indian Police Clearance Submitted: November 2017
BUPA Health Exam: 18 April 2018
All documents submitted: 21 April 2018

I really hope the wait isn't too long now for my 820 as I am applying for my PhD and hope to travel overseas in June!

Hey guys, British and Irish citizen, I applied June 2017, with everything front loaded (medicals and police checks), no contact from case officer until now, and have been asked for Birth Certs for me and my partner.

Have submitted these and also additional finance evidence, photos and flights home for Christmas.

Hoping it won't be too long after these are all in!

801 granted after 24.5 months, without 820

Dear all,
I am so glad to share the good news here. My 801 was granted after over 24 months' waiting. I lodged my application online. My case was assigned to Victoria Office in Melbourne.

I applied for the visa after 14 months living together with my partner. We dated 1 year before that 14 months. Below is a brief version of the whole process.
--------------------
Lodgement: April 2016
First request for more info: Dec 2017
Second request for more info: April 2018 (5 days before 2 years’ anniversary)
Third request for more info: 23 April 2018
Today I emailed to request to waive the third request. The grant email came about 15 mins after.
-----------------------------
Just in case any of you might want to know a bit more details. Please see below.
-------------------------------
Lodgement: April 2016
3 X 888 Statutory Declaration Forms
Lease contract to prove we lived together for more than 1 year prior to applying.
Financial: joint bank account statements (I updated the statements every half year)
Social: photos of occasions we attended as a couple. This includes multiple times of catching up with friends, one trip to China and one wedding.
Household arrangement: this was done in a textual statement as part of the very long application form. I also attached water account statement and electricity bills.
Commitment to each other: emergency acceptance and surgery bill as I was injured prior to applying. We added notes to demonstrate we overcome tough times and built up strong commitment to each other.
---------------------
Feb 2017
Uploaded additional information: another trip to China and updated bank statements. There was 1.5 years we lived with his parents to save money for our first home. During this time, I paid extra attention to update our joint saving account statement to show that the savings grew consistently and more rapidly as we had no bills and lease agreement to prove we lived together.
---------------------------
July 2017
Uploaded home loan settlement documents (joint liability), joint ownership certificate of our dog, receipts of the purchases to set up our new home, and change of address forms.
------------------------------------------
Dec 2017
Received first request from case team: Current evidence of relationship.
In respond, I uploaded updated bank statements, our dog’s vaccination bills and surgery bills (spayed operation), one relationship statement signed by us, and another statement about our new home arrangement.
-------------------------------------
Jan 2018
Uploaded our de facto relationship registration certificate. We decided to do that one day for no reason and the certificate came through one day then I uploaded to Immi account.
----------------------------
April 2018
Second request for more information: updated AFP police check and medical check. Supplied both one week later.
----------------------------------------
23 April 2018
Third request for more information: updated AFP police check to include my former name (I changed my name 18 years ago, long before my first arrival at Australia).
-----------------------------------------
Today 27 April 2018
I decided to email to request to waive the request with relevant documents attached. The grant email came through soon after that.
