I uploaded everything required including my police certificates (AFP and one from Germany) and will do medical examination on Monday. I know that this might be a bit early but will take that risk to maybe do it again in a year.

Letīs see how long it will take to hear back..

Cheers
You mean BVA, not BVB. Big difference.

And we've seen quite a few 820s granted in less than 12 months so might go in your favor.

It could also take 1 to 17 months.

There were a fair few 820’s granted recently within a few months and under a year.

Hi, it is my first post here. I am just a little bit worried about my situation.

I am from HK & my partner is Australian. We applied Partner Visa 820 online on the 5 Dec 2016. My partner received an email on the 10th April 2017 requesting a correct police check from NZ. Ever since we never heard back anything from the immigration. And the status on the website remains "received" the whole time, nothing has changed.

It's been 18 months since we lodged the application. Does anyone know their email as I couldn't find it anywhere online? I am just getting so frustrated & don't know what to do.

Any advice? Thanks

With 90% of apps processed in 24 months, unfortunately you're still within global processing times. Not much you can do as calling or emailing will just give you a generic response.

What office did you lodge the application through as we have been waiting the exact same amount of time and no correspondence.

Not uncommon to not have correspondence. They aren't going to notify you to tell you nothing is happening and you're still in queue.

And I never did for either visa granted as I had everything required. Only correspondence I got was a visa grant.

Didn't you get told to get out of town for a grant? or am I drunk and confused?

Your comment of no contact to say nothing is happening is very true.

You also know far more about the whole process than most and know "everything required" and we both know that takes far more than the average effort.

But shyt all that know how goes in hiding when you actually are doing your own applications - talk about mental blanks!
