Hi

Attention onshore partner visa applicants.
The global processing time for 820 has gone up to 24 months for 75% ans 30 months for 90% on immi website yesterday. It has blown up 3 times doulbe since i have lodged my application (January 2017) which is ridiculous. I hope it has end somewhere or they shouldn’t implement this to all the past applications but anyways they do it and nobody can challenge them it is so annoying.
Please leave your views everyone?

Yes, It has just changed.I am wondering if lodge a written letter complaint will help to clear the doubtful point? This is bureaucratism to its extreme.I lodge my application for my partner in Jan 2017 as well. Patched up couple AFP check Mid last year then hear nothing since then. This is joke.

To Mr. Yu
I agree this is not fair at all. The current government policies is all about ripping off immigrants which is shame and I guarantee that this is gonna create so much discrimination in this society when someone will become Australian citizen after being through this whole.
Anyways written complaint will at least aware them that people are observing their actions. So please do and i will do as well.

820 Visa, where to upload evidence?

Hey everyone,

I am new to the forum and have been using it recently to help me with my 820 application. I have submitted the online application form and paid and I am currently trying to upload/attach documents. I am really struggling as to where to put certain evidence as I feel some could go in more than one category. I have organised my evidence using the 4 aspects they look at (Financial commitments, nature of household etc). The main thing I am struggling with is the length of defacto section, I am aware this should be where we prove we have lived together for 12 months (although there is also a separate 'living together' section). Here are the things I am thinking of putting in the length of defacto heading:
- joint bank account statements/confirmation
- mail addressed to the same address
- utilities address to same address

I am unsure where to upload things such as, travel tickets, accomodation bookings, joint activities? Can anybody offer advice as to what they did in this section?

Thanks in advance & Good Luck to everyone :)

Hello, I'm gonna attach documents for my wife(sponsor), she s been married/divorece three times before me.
the section 'Divorce/Separation, Evidence of', is it where I attach her divorce papers, or is this for people who just divorced their sponsor?

yeah I'd like to know that as well and where to upload photos of us with familly.

Also do you have to prove defacto evn if you are married for more than three years?

Finally our 820 granted at 11 am today. Form 80 and afp requested last July 13. Afp arrived on mail last friday and we uploaded yesterday. We will have peace of mind now till 2 years. Our next challenge will be PR app.

Hi guys- just to give you an update got my 820 visa, with great timing just before I went to France on holiday. My advice (which I found very hard to follow at times) is you have to just live your life, and not function constantly wondering what if, unfortunately this thing is a lottery, mine took basically 14 months and was a straight enough case from a low risk country. Others take shorter or longer. It's hard for your partner if you're constantly stressed, so always remember it will happen. Keep the faith.

Applied 1 June 2017
Birth certificates requested April 2018
Granted 820- July 27 2018

Congratulations Britch :-)
We have now been waiting since May 2016 and still there has been no response after lodging few inquiries and phone calls. Now with the processing time being moved to 30 months, i cant help but feel hopeless.

Got my grant notice today! A long wait but not as long as others. Just have to stay positive and try not to check your email 50 times a day. I was stuck on a 457 in a job I am not happy with but the relief is immense knowing I can now leave my job if I want!

Timeline

13 July 2017- Applied

10 June 2018- Case Officer rang my partner to tell him he was approved to be a sponsor

21 June 2018- did my medical without being requested

2 July 2018- Request for more info. Police checks from Canada and AFP. Also new bank statements and additional proof to show we are currently together.

26 July 2018- All proof submitted and pressed button to confirm.

27 July 2018- Applied for BVB as I am going to Canada for 4 weeks in Aug/Sept

30 July 2018- Got an email saying to withdraw my BVB application and request a refund as a BVB is not necessary since my 457 was still in effect

31 July 2018- 820 grant notice!!

Couldn't be happier. Good luck to you all and thank you for the help over the last year.
