Thanks Yance22. I will be putting something together in the next few days and will let everyone know.
Did you email the form and documents or send them via mail?

Samantha, you should look for another agent as this one seems to think you are a money tree. A lot of agents wouldn't have charged that much for your partner visa. Perhaps contact Mark Northam (in the "Ask Mark" thread) to see if he could do your application for work rights if you want to use an agent.

BIG CONGRATS, Yance!

CollegeGirl 07-02-2014 11:18 AM

Samantha, based on what you've said on this forum and assuming it's all true, your agent sounds like a straight-out CROOK. I know you didn't believe us before, but how about now? Guess how much Immi charges to apply for work rights? $0!!! It's free!!!

Ugh, makes me so mad when unscrupulous people take advantage of others.

If you don't believe me, read this:

I have the no work condition on my Bridging visa C, how can I change this condition?
You can apply on form 1005 to change your Bridging visa conditions to permit you to work. There is no visa charge associated with this application. If you satisfy the requirements set out above, you will be granted a new Bridging visa C with permission to work.
See: Form 1005 Application for a Bridging visa (219KB PDF file)

P.S - To others looking to apply for work rights from a BVC, that form linked to in the quote I posted above is the one you need.
