When it’s all happening not as the way we planned for our lives. It can be taken as quite personal. Especially when it’s effecting our quality of life.

I am not sure if interesting is the way that I'll put it. I do think it's very odd. So that's why I am considering contacting an experienced migration lawyer because I don't think the RMA has covered all angels or maybe because they didn’t handle a more complex case like ours.

Trust me, I don’t want to keep this 457 visa. It's useless to me at the moment and also put me in a strange and difficult situation. I really want to bring the expiry date forward asap so that my BVA can be activated.
Hi, im first time user on this web.

I have experiences about transfer my husband’s visa 457 to Partner visa. So I can understand how frustrated you are. Lets me share our stories.

Its not easy to find another employer within 90 days. Lucky if u do.

My husband (Finnish) could not find a job (Pastry Cook visa 457) after his previous job termination. So our family decided to buy a Bakery in Sydney so we can sponsor him (as an employee).

We were rushing to looking for a business within the first 30 days.
Then we have the last 60 days to prepare all purchasing business documents and preparing for Business Sponsorship (stage 1 of Visa 457 to make a Business becomes eligble to sponsor an oversea staff).

My agent lodged a Sponsorship Application within the last 10 days of 90 days.
Then my agent also lodged Nomination. Visa 457 Application doesnt need to apply bcoz his visa 457 is still valid.

He worked for our family business company for a while. Before his visa 457 expires, I sponsored him through Partner visa. His case is different to you as his visa 457 valids shorter than you, so he doesnt have to wait long as u.

He got Bridging visa now and waiting for TR partner visa since Nov 2017. No response yet.

I am also sponsored my ex husband before. My current husband is 2nd husband. So idk how much chance of approval we have. I supported alot of documents and still waiting.

What occupation r u doing?

Ask ur family or someone to open the business and sponsor urself if possible.

Im living in Sydney and using agent from Canberra for Visa 457 & partner visa. We always communicate via email, no need face to face. U can get advice from her if u are interested.

All the best

Hello guys, I was just exchanging a few emails with my Agent today around 11.30am as my police clearance has been uploaded to our application and I've asked what happens next so they said we'll have to get it translated and that it may take a week or a couple of months until we hear anything from Immigration. At exactly 12.15pm I've received a phone call from my Agent and she told me that my Visa had just been granted!! We're over the moon and the last 2 hours seem so unreal to me. Unfortunately we're both at work but tonight we'll definitely celebrate!
We wish everyone best of luck on their Journey!
Applied 820/801 Onshore: 05/04/2017
Sponsor police clearance requested: 12/2017
My medical and police clearance for Australia and home country: 08/08/2018
Visa grant: 04/09/2018

Hi Selwyn,

Are you sure you have your dates correct? That seems insanely fast, barely 3 months.

820s from PMV 300s can be. I took that route and got it in 20 days. The idea is you've already waited wait times for the 300 then applied for the 820/801. Not everyone from a 300 is so lucky though.

Mine has just been granted.
I've not yet lodged the complaint; however I do called the general enquiry line yesterday to express my concern. Best luck for yours.
