Hi EVERYone,

I am fairly new to this forum and would like to ask about ‘action required’ tag.
When information required from you, does it show in your messages or on the tap e.g. “action required- arrange health examination”?
Any help is greatly appreciated.

Hi Selwyn,

Are you sure you have your dates correct? That seems insanely fast, barely 3 months.
Yes dates are correct, 3 months wait. I was also shocked coz I think now they taking more time than in the past. I think I saw few others coming from PMV and waiting/waited more than 6 months. Anyway I did make sure we have a solid application and have a lot of evidences 😉 Goodluck if you waiting on yours...

Australian & Foreign Police check?

Hi everyone,

I lodged the application in March 2018 and did my Health Assessment in April 2018.

I haven't gotten a letter from CO to do police check, but I am trying to get onto this, since today Sponsorship Assessment Unit contacted my sponsor to complete his Australian Police Clearance Check.

I've already lodged the application to AFP. But since I do not have letter from my CO demanding foreign police check, I can't apply for Foreign Police check. I am a permanent resident in Singapore and lived there for more than 12 months after 16 years of age; and Singapore police requires an appeal/letter from Department of home affairs that states why I need the Singaporean police check.

a)
Does anyone know how to contact the CO to request the appeal/letter, or
Has anyone been in the same situation as I do, or
Is it better to wait for CO to email me about foreign police check?

b)
Also, I've noticed that there has been a change with help info/section on immi account about police check. It used to say that I need police check in every country that I've lived in after I've turned '16 years of age' - but now it's '18 years of age'. Weirdly enough on the AFP it still states '16 years of age'. Which one do we need to go for? 18 years or 16 years!?

It seems Department of Home affairs don't have answers for this either.. but if it is 16 years of age, then I need to get another foreign police check aside from Singaporean...

c)
Do we need to keep on uploading photos of us/with family/ bank statements etc until I get the 820 confirmation?

Timeline:
Applicant's origin/nationality/citizenship: Korea, Republic of (South)
Permanent Residency: Singapore (since 2007)
Came to Australia: Feb 2014
Applicant and Sponsor with same residential address since: Dec 2016
Registered De Facto Relationship: May 2017
Application lodged ONSHORE: March 2018
Sponsor's 40SP & proof of citizenship lodged: March 2018
Applicant's Health Assessment: April 2018
SAU request to Sponsor's police check: Sep 2018

That appears for everyone. It's just saying that the visa you applied for requires one. A request would come from a CO.
