I applied for my 801/820 partner visa de-facto visa on the 23/12/2017

I just received an email from the case officer requesting for more information. On the check list the officer asks for a:-

police clearance certificate - which I can provide

Health exam - which I can provide

Birth certificate - which I can provide

Evidence of your relationship with your de facto partner

My problem is with the last one I have already uploaded a lot of evidence in regards to our relationship. Including social photos, joint lease, Joint bank account, stat decs, invitations etc.

What more could they want me to upload? If anyone could help or someone who had a similar experience could tell me what did they did it would be much appreciated.

Thank you so much!

Is your relationship registered? Did you provide those evidences over time during the length of the relationship or just proof they exist? For example, a joint bank account that shows when it was opened and that it's been used over time (groceries, bills, furniture purchases, etc) or just that you have a joint account?

See LRR's post above. Just having a lease, joint account, and photos isn't much on their own. It seems they expect to see more than that.

Yeah, I've provided bank statements from our joint account and individual accounts. I've highlighted all our transactions for the length of our relationship which shows groceries, purchases etc. Yes, my relationship is registered.

Did you submit more evidence than just a lease, bank statements, and photos?

My partner applied 820 around 01/12/2017, and applied BVB around 01/07/2017. The Christmas holiday is coming, is it safe to apply BVB again? Will it has any negative impact on the application?

About three weeks ago, I posted that I had received request for additional information from Immigration. They requested my police check, sponsor police check and FBI check, and health exams. I was worried as we were about to travel overseas for two weeks that I wouldn't be able to get everything in by their requested 28 days turnover. I was able to get my police check and my health exams done and added to my Immi Account, but my partner's police check had not arrived back. I emailed Immigration and let them know that everything was posted except that police check and that I would get the police check uploaded once we got it back in the mail after we returned from overseas.

We got back from overseas on Sunday. Partner police check was in the mail. Got it certified and uploaded Monday (yesterday). Emailed Immigration to let them know that everything was up there as requested....

Lo and behold today, at around 9:30am, I get an email from Immigration, granting me my 820! I was amazed. I probably didn't get them the final document until 3pm yesterday. Was not expecting such a quick turnaround! Wow, and yay!

So my details:

Origin Country: USA
820 Applied for: May 2017
820 Granted: November 2018
Wait time: 18 months.

Have faith! It will happen it just takes time.

Congrats! For future reference for the 801, there's no need to upload certified documents. The good part about waiting so long for the 820 is that now you're eligible for the 801 in about 6 months and you only need to provide evidences of your relationship since the grant of the 820, which means Stage 2 documents for you should be pretty easy!

Hi Everyone,

I've been reading this forum for a while and thought I'd join the conversation and share my timeline so far as it's been helpful reading other people's timelines. I am the sponsor for my de facto Taiwanese partner.

Applied onshore (820/801) on the 27/11/17
Request for more information and medical checks on 6/8/18
Supplied requested information on 30/8/18
Received auto-generated "we are writing to inform you that your application for a Partner visa is in progress" email 27/11/18

Also to note is that our application is being processed in Manila, Philippines.

Only 12 months down ;)

Hi Nicoski,

Thank you for sharing your timeline.

My visa is also being processed in Manila Philippines. I was wondering what other information did they ask from you other than the medical check?

Your response would be much appreciated.
Thank you!

They requested identity documents for my partner such as household registration and national identity card. The other requested documents were in relation to my online sponsorship application (form 40SP) as I hadn't finalised and submitted this. They included relationship history statements, evidence of the length of de facto relationship and proof that I'm an Australian citizen.

We also uploaded more evidence such as photos/texts at the time to her application.
