How do you all know where the visa is being processed?

I know ours is being processed in Manila because the correspondence with the case officer was sent from there. If you haven't had any correspondence yet then I'd imagine it would be impossible to know.

I have been waiting for 29 months on my BVA and feel so hopeless right now. Just wonder if anyone is on the same situation

i've applied my 820/801 on 31/07/16
requested more information, health check and police check on May 2018
and i havent heard from them since then

I called them up couple times but the answers are all the same as "your application is still processing atm"

You can submit a complaint once you've passed the waiting times listed on the site. Give them two weeks to respond and if you get nothing, then you can contact the Ombudsman. That sometimes helps to get it moving. 29 months is a LONG time. You should get both the 820 and the 801. Have you provided more evidence since lodgement? You may want to, as that could help too.

Just joined the forum and want to ask something. I submitted most of the documents for the partner visa on May. They asked for my partners police check like a month ago, the only one I haven't submitted yet is the medical exam because everyone recommends waiting until the officer asks for them. I am planning to travel overseas for a period of 5 weeks. Already applied for the BVB visa. Just would like to know if there are chances they will ask for these exams while I'm overseas. Should I submit them before?

Hi guys, I’m pretty new here, here is my story. I’m currently on a student BVA, I applied for my partner visa 820 on 29/11 through my lawyer. Have only received Acknowledgement of Application from my lawyer. When am I suppose to receive BVC? or is it that I’m not eligible for BVC because I’m on BVA and have got a pending case at the Tribunal? Have tried getting in touch with my lawyer, but I always called at the wrong time when he’s at the court house.

Hi guys, I am a new member here. I have been reading the forum for a while. I have been visited Australia on tourist visa since 2011. I am marrying my husband in September 2018 after 9 months of dating.
Finally DIBP granted my daughter an Australian citizenship by descent after provide a DNA from my ex partner.
Lucky I don't have to bring her outside Australia.

I have applied a partner visa 820/801 in Australia in August this year. Since my tourist visa still active until September 2019 and I never stay in Australia more than 3 months. Hopefully my BVA will start after Christmas.
Btw is it the statement of relationship very important to upload ? Is it only me as the applicant or my sponsor has to write as well?
Is the visa process depending on the CO assigned?

Hi everyone, silent reader here, I would like to share my experience.

I've lodged my application on 3rd of May 2018, then got a request for AFP check, birth certificate for my child and medical check on 6th of November 2018 by CO. I did the medical check the next day and also submitted my AFP check (I've got the check already). And after around month time on 8th of December I got both 820 and 801 granted! Best Christmas present ever.
