I saw one migration agent had six 820's granted in January and ten in February.

Not everyone puts their grants on the forum.

I understand that not everyone does but if you compare to last year, you will be able to tell the difference. I remember seeing so many posts last year and not many this year.. so I do believe it is a bit slower.

I don't have the answer for that. I am not sure if it makes a difference if the applications are offshore or onshore. Mine is onshore and we submitted an almost complete application except for AFP checks and we still have not been granted the 820. We applied in April 2017, 11 months before yourself.
Last Friday after emailing immigration we finally received an AFP check for the applicant. My best guess is that our application has been transferred to another processing centre to 'share the load' due to high numbers of applications to be processed and it has just been sitting there idle until I sent an email asking for an update.

Thank you Liiza!

Our application was onshore.

It was such a nice relief to have stage 1 done and we can now stop checking emails so often The email you get is so understated and boring. No words of congratulations. Nevertheless, we celebrated

Looking at your timeline and hoping yours gets granted soon. Must be close.

Congratulations! That's awesome. May I ask if you were coming from PMV?

I may be way off the bat, but it seems like people who first had PMV get processed faster?

I'm so desperate to get any action in my account!

Thank you

You can see my timeline in my signiture. I am writing because quite frankly just need to vent. Background is that I have emailed and called Immigration 6 times in the last 3 months to check on an update of our application because we have heard absolutely nothing and we lodge in April 2017. It is a Partner visa and we registered our relationship because we were hoping to be granted the stage 1 801 visa a year ago. We have been holding off getting married until we got the PR because I assume if we got married things may change with the visa process and we didn't want to add on any further delay.

My question is now, has anyone got married after they have submitted the 820 and what happens? what do you have to do?
We applied online ourselves.

We have uploaded everything and keep adding evidence and still haven't been granted the 801. The consultant at Immigration said there's nothing that can be done unless it was 4 yrs after application submission which I feel is just ludicrous. I know the global wait time is 21 - 26 months for Partner Visa, but shorter for PMV.
What are your suggestions on where to go from here?

Thanks for allowing me to vent if you read this far.

Hey Mate,

I understand your frustration!! My wife and I are running an identical timeline as you. We submitted our onshore application 26 April 2017. And have heard next to nothing since.

We did get married in the meantime, we are yet to receive our marriage cert. But once we do we will submit it.

Regards,

Darra
