I would love to ask questions if you don't mind. I applied in February 2018. Have you came from a PMV/married already or defacto? What's your nationality? My fiance is Brazilian so this could be why it's taking longer. When were you asked for police checks? Was a CO ever assigned for you? Sorry for the questions, my fiance is starting to become impatient as am I. Thank you |
Thanks Donnabee :)
Sure no worries, see answers below: No, I have not applied from a PMV/married visa. I am German I was asked to provide police clearances and medicals in January 2019 I did not receive any notification that a CO has been assigned Hope you fiances visa comes through soon!! Good luck :D |

I’m planning to apply for a partner visa soon, I was on student visa and applied for extension which was refused 2 days ago,
I have a few questions to how i should proceed now with my Appeal and Partner Visa 1. I want to go ahead with my appeal and apply for partner visa onshore in august, In this case does schedule 3 criteria apply to me ? 2. My partner had sponsor someone in past and he got his 820 approved but after that the marriage fall apart and she withdraw the sponsor before 801 was issued. This application was made in August 2014 Does this mean i will have to wait till August 2019 before she can sponsor me in terms of 5 years limit ? |

I hope you do not mind but I have a few questions following from Donnabee. 1. Did you fill the form 80 in advance or was it not required? 2. How long have you and your partner been together? I'm Malaysian and applied for my 801/820 in April as well and we were requested to submit my partners police check in October which we then submitted my police and health checks as well. Hopefully it wont be any longer now! |
801 - Waiting Room!
Hi I already applied my 801 through immi account. But last week my sponsor partner got Australian citizen ( before pr) How can I update that information to immi?? Please can someone help me for this matter??

Hi everyone!
I'm brand new to this forum and have decided to join in and post after a friend recommended it to me. I was hoping I could get a little guidance as I didn't find the Gov Immi helpline very helpful. I'm from the UK and currently on a Working Holiday Visa (first year). My partner (Australian) and I have been together for almost 2 1/2 years and we are currently looking at applying for a De Facto partner visa. I am currently working at a great company that would like to offer me a full time role. However, I have heard that the bridging visa mirrors your current working restrictions. My current visa only allows me to work at one company for no more than 6 months and I have found it incredibly hard to find jobs and stability. My questions are - Whether anybody else is in/has been in a similar situation - If anyone knows of any way around this or what I can do so I can work without restrictions? Having to do potentially almost 2 1/2 years of temp jobs is really deterring me from applying. :( It doesn't seem like a sustainable condition for any applicant. My visa expires soon and my partner and I are completely new to this process. Thanks in advance for any answers! :) |
Hey Guys...
Apologies if this questions already been asked. Just curious, if you get 2 years after lodging your 820/801 application and you’ve still not had a decision on your temporary visa will your permanent and temporary be considered together ? As the permanent application is 2 years after the date you apply... Thanks in advance! |

When did you apply for your 820/801 application as the current wait times as follows. Processing Time 820 75% of applications: 23 months 90% of applications: 27 months Processing times for 801 75% of applications: 22 months 90% of applications: 26 months My next question is have you applied for 801 visa as yet ? |
Hey All,
Applying for our 820 in the next week or so, and I was wondering how recent police checks need to be? We applied the 300 last April and it was approved beginning of this year and as such, some police checks are under 12 months old. Not sure if we should submit those and see if they request newer ones? Cheers |
