Hey everyone,

I just wanted to update on our situation (and hopefully be a source of hope for those who, like me, applied for their 820 after having gone through the 300 first)

Applied offshore for PMV: May 2018 (London)
PMV granted: November 2018 (London)

Got married: March 2019

Applied for 820 (as per requirement of PMV): June 10th 2019
820 granted: June 12th 2019

For my 820 I wasnít requested to do my police checks or medical again. My partner didnít have to do her Australian police check again either. All we did was upload our marriage certificate and some other evidence

Is that really just 2 days to get the 820?

Yes but 820 tends to be granted quicker if you have done the subclass 300 before that. I was not expecting it to be that fast but since then, a couple of people I know have applied for their 820 after having been on their 300 and they got it within a month.

I think it’s because you already have to do all the evidence and pay the 7k when you do the 300

Our 820 from PMV took 3.2 months. No medical needed as coming from the 300.

The 820 from the 300 is faster, but yours was ultra fast.

Yeah i was in total shock. Not sure if being a UK resident with a Dutch passport had anything to do with it?

I doubt it. More likely just luck that somebody looked at yours within a couple days of submitting. Not all 820s from 300s are that fast. Mine was just under 3 weeks.

My theory with the quick wins like that are they really help keep the average processing times down and probably helps with someones KPI.

Something guaranteed you being in the 75% under 12 month statistic...

And congratulations on something of a record.

My medical test is expiring in September. It's been nearly 11 months since the application date. I'm just a little worried because I don't want to pay $385 or something again.
