12 December 2013 - acknowledgement from Immigration of receipt of a valid onshore 820/801 application

previous visa : 572 student visa

Incomplete application - police checks included......medicals need to be done

advised that waiting times for processing are sitting at 13 months from date of acknowledgement.....

Used a migration agent so I don't actually know whether it was paper or online.

now the waiting game begins....

Ask your migration agent! It would be good to know - so far on this forum it seems I am the only one who has done the 820/801 online.

Hi Amandy, I'm planning to lodge the 820 application online within next week.
Just a quick question here, did u get the automated email from immigration re application acknowledgment the same day u lodged it? What about the Bridging visa A? ... I'm really worried coz my current visa will be expired next month.

Hi
They sent the acknowledgement as soon as you click the submit button and have paid.
The following email will contain the Bridging Visa A. It's very quick and automated.

If you want to get it in sooner, go on the immi website, register for your hap id for the health checks and you can submit your application with the hap id so once the medical is done it will be sent to immigration straight away.

I messaged my immigration lawyer and my application was a paper one. Apparently there have been some glitches in the online system so they will only be submitting paper applications for the time being
