What does your IMMI account say for status?

Have you completed the online application for the sponsor, as well as the applicant?

What is your nationality?

I've seen two March 2017 applications that were finalised in July 2018 and another in December 2018.

We Lodged our 820 partner visa in June 2018 and my partner was asked to do a police check from the sponsorship team in December 2018 which we uploaded straight away. It has been 17 months since we lodged our partner visa and have not heard from them since then. Is anyone in a similar situation?.. is this usually normal?. I have still not been granted an 820 visa yet. Has anyone been contacted by this team previously?

Thanks
Hi there,
My case is similar:
I've applied December 28 2017 for temporary partner visa (previously on PMV) and still waiting, 23 months now.
I'm low risk country (Germany). I've received two notifications "Application in progress" on Dec 2018 and June 2019 so far.
Any more progress on your application? I've been waiting 23 months also with very little communication from immigration.

Hopefully you will get 820/801 granted at once. At least that is what I was hoping it will happened if I don't get any answer this year.

Hello everyone.
Just a small timeline for my visa process :

We applied for my Partner Visa the 27/07/2018.

Two BVB between (1 for 3 months granted in one week and the other one for one year granted the same day that it has been received by the visa processing center).
Just received this week an email asking for my medical test and police certificates from Australia Police and French Police as well the 27/11/2019.
It looks like a CO has been attached to my case so I think it's a good progress.

So exactly 16 months in between.

I'm just curious who else out there is (still) waiting, since both applicants I knew have been granted before me!

Please update your flag here .

Partner was on Student Visa

Applied: Sep 2018
Request for Sponsorship Application (Ooops!) : Oct 2019
RFI Police Check: Nov 2019

Now waiting.

I've seen some people post that they have received an RFI asking for many items but mine only asked for a police check so I assume all other uploaded documents are satisfactory? The reason I ask is because the medical check was done around the time we applied so it may be out of date by now. I would have thought they would ask for another one when they asked for the police check.

No migration agent used. How much do they charge for this anyway?

Hi I was wondering.... my partner and I are in the process of completing 820/801. I'm Australian, he's American. We've been together 9 months, we have all the evidence and have registered the partnership. We're getting married but my dad is recovering and all our attention has been on him. We don't have kids, we're both semi retired, I'm 50 he's 55. (not that immigration is bothered with this). The question I am having trouble with is the "compelling & compassionate" reason he should stay in the country. Is being in love enough??
