Hi everyone our 820 partner visa was just granted today. Such an amazing news me and my partner are over the moon. I was asked to do some police checks a couple of weeks ago. Once they were uploaded we got the visa straight away. Thank you so much everyone i could not have done it without all the really helpful tips on this forum.

Heres our timeline

partner contacted to provide police checks - December 2017
Requested more information form 80 and police checks nov 2019
820 granted 22 jan 2020

took 19 months in total for the Grant. I am from Srilanka
Good luck to everyone else

Some movement for us recently.

Applied - September 2018
Health check - October 2019
Request for police checks - Jan 2020

From the UK, if that makes any difference.

This week will mark 26 months since my visa application. Still no 820, never mind 801. Getting tired of waiting now....

Are there cases that are granted early? Most of cases I have seen recently granted after mostly 2 years. We are considering 309 and 820.

That gives me some hope that ours will start to move soon. Also from the UK.

Applied - 1 October 2018
Health Check - April 2019
Request to fill out sponsor application - November 2019 - (didn't do it earlier as we wanted to use it as an easy way to give an update on relationship from October 2018 onwards)
