Not sure about that but wouldn't you be able to scan documents somewhere else, e.g. friends?

Form 80 isn't just for people applying for a partner visa, so I think that the reason it repeats a lot of questions that are in the partner applications is because they may not be asked in applications for other visas that also require a form 80.

I was advised that even though I'm from a low risk country it's best to just complete it and upload, rather than have them ask for it months down the line and have your application held up. But coming from Europe the 10 years of travel question took me daaayyysss to fill out.. All the paperwork will be worth it in the end though :)

Hi All

I contacted the immigration centre in Perth directly to ask them about this and they said I do need to fill out Form 80 and upload it, and it is a requirement for my application.

Someone else mentioned the 10 years of countries visited and having to write them all down again - I am the same so many European countries. Since I already put every single one in my online application, what I did was I printed off the list from the PDF you can download of your online application, and I attached that section at the end of the Form 80, and on the countries question I wrote 'please see attachment'.

I will let you know if they have any problems with that. I wouldn't think there would be since I have stated all the countries but sometimes they might not like it if it is not in their specific format I suppose.

I am going to assume that "soon" means "not soon" in this scenario :)

Lodged April 17th, final documents uploaded today. Medicals done, all police clearances in, dollars upon dollars in translation fees, etc.

The waiting begins.

Thanks for sharing your progress. Yes, the waiting begins. Tomorrow, it will be one year since we lodged our application. Welcome to those of us patiently waiting here. After a while you begin to check your Vevo more and more often. Cheers...

I sincerely hope I don't have to wait a whole year—but, it isn't up to me (or any of us) at this point.

The level of detail they require still makes me feel a little bit dirty.

All the best Dinkum not long more for you :)

Average wait time right now is 12-15 months, so you in all likelihood could be waiting that long. Probably best to expect it and be pleasantly surprised if it's faster, if you can do that.

Dinkum 07-22-2014 07:08 AM

Thanks Lildevil....Fingers crossed it will be soon.
