Is there any way we could try to speed up*the process by contacting/emailing immi, as it feels like no one have even touched our application after 13 months?

(only thing was auto generated email after 1 year was lapsed)
it's normal, I applied in Aug 2018, they only requested for more info the first time in Feb 2020. now still waiting

You say that you got a request for an AFP check for your partner.
Have you done, and submitted, an AFP check for yourself?
If you have submitted everything else required, then there would not be a need for any other RFI.

Not everyone gets an RFI, some go direct to grant with no contact.
HI, Really? you were contacted by different case officers with different position numbers?

Yes. But it is possible that some people might get the same person.

I am in the same boat. Applied on 12 November 2017 and they have asked for additional documents in Feb 2018. I am still waiting for the approval. It has been 29 months now which is what the website says. Is there anyone we could follow this up?

Hi all, today I was granted my 820 visa!

I applied in December 2018.
I had a request for police/medical check in Feb 2020.
We didn't use a migration agent.

Now the wait for the 802 begins!

Hello,we are on the same timeline almost. We also lodged the visa in december 2019,in february 2020 i went for the biometrics, and after that we have heard nothing. Our agent told me to have a fresh police clearance and to make an appointment for the medical checks but the immi office didn’t ask me to do the med check so i am confused where did she find that we need to make the appointmen.Anyway,i know that due to covid 19 they aren’t working.I am from Albania,my husban recently took the australian citizenship, and we don’t know what is going on with the borders, and when can we meet again. The only hope is for them to start working again on our cases.
Regards

why don;t you wirte to the case officer and ask? it's been too long and you will be granted 801 straight away.

Hi everyone we applied for 820 on 9 April. This forum has helped me so much with the process, thank you very much.

Does anyone know how you can inform the department of small changes such as the occupation of supporting witnesses? One of our witnesses got a job recently, but at the time of writing the form 888, he wrote unemployed as he didn't have a job then.

Kind regards,
Daisy
