It is very frustrating. Let's hope they will contact us soon.

I lodged July 2018 as well and never heard anything back.(Not even the annual auto emails)

Hi All,

Just wanted to jump in and add my partners status here as well.

We've applied for the 820 visa on the 4th of July 2020, so now the waiting game begins. My partner is Russian so I have no doubt application times can take longer for her, but she's on a BVA now. Look forward to an update soon!

It’s been quite here. Anybody got a grant lately? Or saw some movement?

Some of you might not like this, but...

Put in my wife's application June 2019, added the basics and waited. She's Japanese if it makes any difference.

Got a message to supply additional information in June this year, added all the documents they asked for and applied for the rest with evidence of applying for them.

Got our police clearances 3 weeks ago, uploaded them. Other items we can't get because of lockdown in Melbourne.

We got the 820 and instant 801 this past Sunday.

Before you get too upset, we've been married for 16 years, I lived in Japan for 17 years and we have 2 kids. And a dog.

I'm glad it's over and done with and didn't take very long, but mostly I'm glad we didn't have to jump through all kinds of silly hoops to 'prove' the relationship. I think we could have come up with enough genuine evidence if we needed to, but a lot of the things that were asked for initially just aren't something we've ever done.

You wanted some results, that's ours. Not sure what we'll do after this, as she's got a few years to decide what to do now. Citizenship or just a travel visa (or whatever it is), not sure.

And yes, they're still working in immigration.

Congratulations, I can see the long relationship is assessed faster.

Hi all.
Just curious to know.
Anyone have got or heard about such thing that someone got their 820/801 granted before their Bridging Visa A get in effect ?
For instance: Have a Student visa in effect and mean time get grant for 820/801(without Bridging visa A got in effect)

Hi, I've applied in October 2018. Got my 820 on the 26th of 2020. And got my 801 on the 20th of September 2020.
Hope it works for you

Bmst 09-23-2020 02:01 PM

Can you tell me when you got 820?
