As I said, I got it on the 26th of August 2020. Then my 801 Cale less than a month later. Good luck

. Sorry I realised I didn't write the date in my original post!

We've been in a relationship for 20 years, married for 18.
Applied 28 of October 2018.
Got my 820 26 of August 2020
Then no news.
I read in some posts here and there that in case of a "genuine andd continuous" relationship, the 2 years to apply for the 801 could be lifted, and in some cases the 801 could be granted straight away.
Nowhere on the home affairs website it's clearly explained...
However, I sent my case officer an nice message explaining that I thought I qualified for a straight 801 grant. 2 hours later I got it...
Good luck to everybody

Hi there, waiting for my 820 since May 2019 patiently. I see some people got there 801 pr visa earlier than two years from the date of first lodgement? Is that possible, I thought the two years waiting was non-negotiable? Good for ye, congratulations!

Hi there,
Just for your info as every case is different... I applied for my 820 on the 28th of October 2018, got some additional informations requests in July 2020, got my 820 on the 26th of August 2020.
Before the 2 years period and because we've been living together for over 20 years and married for 18, I sent an enquiry to my case officer who dealt with my 820 and got my 801 immediately on the 21st of September 2020. So yes it's possible to get a 801 in less than 2 years after the 820 application is made.
I got it in less than 23 months..
Cheers.
Veronique

Firstly I would like to say this platform is really helpfull to get sorted partner visa related issues.

Now my question is related to police clearance.
My partner who is Australian received her Police clearance recently and I sent to my Agent for uploading on file but my agent refused to do it because this police clearance says "Partial Disclosure" but FPC states that no any offence recorded in Federal, State and in any territories.
And applying again is waste of money.

Now I would like to know from people who have dealth with such issue that this police clearance is not the right one? Also if agent Upload this than it can effect on my partner application in negative way?

Thanks.

This sounds like you may have ordered the incorrect Police Certificate by mistake. I just checked the ones we ordered during my visa application process and they both says "Complete Disclosure". When you ordered the Police Certificate, did you select code 33? I believe there are different types. https://immi.homeaffairs.gov.au/help...ce-certificate If that's the case you may need to reapply and pay the $42 again.

hi I applied in February 2019 and I am also still waiting. Some of my friends who applied later have already gotten visas. So it all seems a bit random to me.

Ps: I have uploaded a front loaded application. Medical and police checks all done. Still no luck so just waiting 🤷‍♀️
