That's exactly what I wanted to say next when I saw PKyu's suggestions. If you are stranded in where you are, and there's no immediate appointment available in the nearby BUPA clinic, I'd also recommend you keep on refreshing the booking system from time to time as some appointments do get cancelled or rescheduled. In the meanwhile, call the clinics and see if they can do anything to secure a closer time slot for you. There's no need to panic for the delay, your CO should pick up the case again fairly soon after you've uploaded all they need considering you've already waited quite a long time since lodgement. I think they also have a certain timeframe for which they have to finalize an application for. I personally recommend you to reply to the RFI email once you've submitted everything just to let them know. I've seen people being granted the visa the next day or even the same day. But again it all depends on individual cases and processing office. |

On another note, I had a question for everyone. Did you guys hire a migration agent to help you apply for your 820 or did you lodge in yourself? |
820 and 801 Granted!
I’ve been lurking here and this forum has kept me sane during my wait but I just got both my 820 and 801 granted! My timelines: • July,2018 - Applied for 820/801 partner visa as a de facto couple- front loaded including medical and AFP check - NO agent. We did it ourselves • No communication for 30 months except for the auto generated emails about application in progress. • December, 2020, I received the ‘general Purpose Letter’ requesting to do medical and AFP check again • I did medical examination immediately and AFP submitted 24 of December 2020 • January 21, 2021, both 820 and 801 granted . The application status was “Received” for the last 30 months and just changed to “finalized”. For those who are waiting for long, I know waiting is very stressful, but don’t worry much when you don’t see any movement with the application process. Good luck all and thank you for all the help. |
Hello.
I just have done my health check. My husband has done his AFP police check again thank god. But my police check I submitted at same day at his. But still haven't received any email said that they finalized and posted it away or something. Time is running out. Do you have any advice? Thank you in advance |
So 11 months after my application (applied Feb 2020), I just got the requests for AFP checks, foreign police checks, Sponsor AFP checks and health checks.
All the AFP checks are in and just need to get some more info to apply for my UK Checks. I was lucky enough to get the single opening at my nearest BUPA until April and that's gunna be done next week. Hoping that this means the application will be finalised soon! Took me by total surprise, I'd put the whole VISA process into the back of my mind, assuming COVID-19 would make it extremely slow. Thanks everyone that helped me make sure I was applying properly, I might be on the home stretch now and I am surprised that I got a response in under a year! |
Better you some of us have provided everything in advance nothing heard from them

Hello All!
Just wondering if anyone has clicked the "I confirm i have provided information as requested" on the very bottom in the immi account page after attaching requested additional documents. Timeline March 6,2019 application submitted. March 2020 auto generated email September 2020 auto generated email December 18,2020 requested AFP check and medical Also, since mine will be 2yrs on March 6 should I continue to add documents for my 821? What are your opinions? Greatly appreciated 😊 |

If you haven't uploaded all the requested evidence or pressed the button, please do it asap as it has already past the 28-day window. Your application should be finalized fairly quickly after the RFI considering your waiting time. If at the time of lodgement your de facto relationship exceeded 3 years OR 2 years plus you have child(ren) in the relationship, 801 will be granted together with 820. Otherwise, you'll need to manually apply for 801 when the time comes. Having that said, I'd still continue uploading relationship evidence to immiAccount as some CO might just grant you both based on all the recent evidence and the long waiting time, but they have every reason to not do so if the above requirements were not met or it hasn't been 24 months. Good luck! please do update us once your visa(s) is granted! |
Thank you scorpion,
I just clicked the confirmation this morning. It lapsed the time frame as my medical was Jan 20. Now my immi account showing last updated Jan 20 ,I reckon they checked that date if the requested docs are in.I wrote a letter to my CO including reciepts of appt explaining the matter. Thanks again! |

Been married for 7yrs, de facto 8.5yrs but just moved here Feb of 2019. I am hoping it will be 821 straight away. However if not ,what do you mean by applying it manually? Thanks again |
