Congrats & good luck!

Hi Impatient - Wonderful news. We applied about same day so maybe we'll hear something soon. Time to celebrate now and begin the wait for your 801. Thanks for sharing with us. May we also ask where you applied to?

I applied on 22 July 2013 with a decision ready application.

To the queensland office, and last week I called them to make sure all of my details were correct I don't know if that made any difference!

Thank you very much!
So just more 9 months and I will get my 801!
I can't wait to be a permanent resident and live in this country without worries, have a dog and all the rights!

Is someone here waited more than 2 years to get the 801?

Thanks guys

You'll wait a little longer than two years - you're eligible to be reassessed for the 801 two years after you apply for the 820, and then once you supply the documentation they request, it takes a few months after your eligibility date for them to process it.

The wait begins...

Hi there new member here, long term reader, these posts really helped me with my 820 application.

I lodged in person on 13/08/2014 in the Sydney office, acknowledgment email received on the 14/08/2014. Hoping that its not going to take too long as I am currently on a 457 and desperate to change jobs. But am aware that I may be in for a LONG wait!

I am a British citizen and my partner is Australian so hopefully it is one of the more simpler applications although as I read through this forum I'm starting to realise that this may not contribute to my case.
Would be really interested in hearing from recent applicants and recent approvals!
Nothing I can do now but wait I guess.

Lodged Onshore in Brisbane Oct 25th 2013
Case officer assigned May 30th 2014
Medical submitted July 1st 2014

Still waiting.. any one else have a similar timeline?

is it a good sign when u get that 'generated email' requesting u to do your medical? I like to think that's a sign is progressing nicely - lol

Any help would be great, the wait is killing me and congrats to all who have received the good news !!
