Yep, PMV usually takes anywhere from same day (that's the fastest we've seen it) to a couple of months, usually. 2 months is about as long as we've seen, though one "lucky" person's took six months.

Just checking in on approval updates.

11 months and 1 week since I applied and no word as of yet.

For reference, it was a decision ready, on shore 820, submitted to Sydney

A question for the more experienced ones.

I've heard there is a way to check whether you've been granted your visa by checking VEVO with your current visa's details, and apparently if it doesn't let you log in that probably means your 820 has been granted. Is that correct?

Also, could VEVO be used to check the status of your Bridging visa? When I try to log in with my BVA's TRN it doesn't let me go through. Could this be because my BVA is not in effect yet, or is it impossible to log into VEVO with details of a BVA?

Hi Bay66
The best way is to get a VEVO password by calling DIBP. We did this last week. If there is a long wait, you can request an automatic callback. They just ask for your name, date of birth and your passport details. Have a pen handy as they will give you your password straight away. Doing it with a password means that VEVO will immediately tell you what visa you have. No need to have a grant number or TRN at all. Hope you get good news soon... cheers...

PS. VEVO will only show your currently active visa. You cannot check past visas or BVAs that have not become active yet.

Good news!

Hi everyone...
Our 820 visa was granted at 2 pm today. It took just under 14 months from the date of lodgement. We had no contact or requests from DIBP. Best wishes to all of you waiting here and hoping you will get good news soon. See you in the 801 waiting room.
