I lodged onshore partner visa on December 2013 . I get a letter from immigration today asking me to provide length of relationship 12months prior the date I lodge application n a history of relationship within 28days.

As I change 3mobiles since I've known my husband so all proof about relationships gone .i have marriage certificate but I don't know why they ask me for 12months de factors relationship

Rose Mary is it possible that it was a standard email? When my husband and I applied for his PMV at interview time (they interview majority of applicants in Cairo) we got a standard email and it said that we needed to provide 12 months of phone calls prior to application yet we had not been in a relationship for 12 months prior to application. So I was wondering if that maybe it was a standard email they sent to you?

What we did because we couldn't provide any phone call logs because he was on prepaid and I had switched to a different company and switched to prepaid we wrote a stat dec explaining why we couldn't provide them.

Hello Mish
I don't know it is standard or not but it doesn't look like standard . They also ask me to answer some questions
1/ how when n where u first meet ?
2/ how ur relationship develop?
..........n some more questions
Also ask me to provide 12months relationship prior the date of apply . N question
Why this visa should be granted while u don't have relationship 12months b4 application?
Immigration asked me to reply in 28days otherwise decision will be made base on documents provided.

Maybe they haven't see the marriage certificate? Did you enter a marriage date when you applied?

My thought is to email them and say something like "As we are married I was of the understanding that we did not have to show 12 months prior to application", or something along those lines. It almost sounds like they think you are applying for de facto. Did you get married after you lodged at all?

Our average processing time for Partner visas is 12-15 months from lodgement until allocation to a case officer and your application is within that timeframe. We are currently processing August 2013 applications and I have checked your place in the queue and your application is due to be allocated to a case officer within the next few months.

Thanks for reporting back with the reply to your email, Dayvt. It is very helpful for the collective knowledge of everyone.
