14 months, 23 days and waiting.....hopefully not long now!

I didn't apply online... I submitted the paper version as well... Looks like there isn't a real pattern.. My partner is from Bangladesh and I did expect they would ask for further proof as a friend of mine ( she's german as well and he's bangladeshi) waited 1 1/2 years to hear something and they stopped by at their place to check that they were really living together.. But with my one.. nothing..
Maybe it does make a slight difference if you hand in a decision ready application...
In my grant letter it states Queensland processing center..

Hope you don't have to wait much longer..

We applied by paper in March 2014 and we've already been approved. :s I really wish it was made more clear how they order the applications and deal with them. Some people have applied before us and heard nothing, whereas others applied after and were approved first. It doesn't make much sense.

Hi Everyone

Happy New Year!

I applied for my 820 in October 2014.
Apart from receiving my Bridging visa immediately, I have heard absolutely nothing.
When do you think I will get ANY communication from the Department?
When should one start to get worried?

Kind regards
Mietsie

Nobody can tell you when you will hear as every case is different.

They will contact you when they need something or a decision has been made. No need to worry until it passes max processing time of 15 months.

Just sit back, relax and wait

You can ring up tomorrow and complain since you are no over the max waiting time.

Have you heard anything from them during the process?

I sent them an email after 13 months asking for an update and they said i was in the queue and due to be assessed in the "next few months"

I called on the 15 month anniversary and they just told me to email again...I'll wait and see what reply i get this week
