It also said that the processing time for the permanent part was only 5 weeks so should definitely have that by the end of this year!

Hmmm... that's interesting. Seems like most people on this forum see their second-stage PR visas take 3-6 months. Hoping yours is actually 5 weeks - that would be awesome.

Applied: End of April 2014.
Visa Granted: Early July 2014.
Visa #3: 801 (PR)
Eligibility Date: End of April 2016 (Applied a month prior).
PR Granted: Early April 2017.

You are totally right! That's an outright lie. I submitted my application Dec 11th 2013 and my visa was granted May 31st 2014!
