State Sponsorship

Hi,

I found this forum very helpful for information & guidance, again i am bit confused and looking ahead for any appropriate suggestion, actually i got my assessment positive 4 months ago and while launching case to DIAC unfortunately all MODL list was removed so this way i couldn't launch case to DIAC.
I asked my agent for "state sponsorship", so now my agent has just told me that my occupation is found in "South Australia" for that they send me 2-3 forms need to be filled and also they are charging me consultancy fees, here i am confused whether i pay again to process my case for "State Sponsorship", actually i was engaged with "XYZ" agent since more than 2 years and they are very very slow in processing, actually i attempt two times for skill assessment ( both i found positive), 1st one i got positive but unfortunately at the time of launching case to DIAC my occupation was removed from MODL, so again i took another occupation from MODL list fortunately i got positive again so at the time if launching application to DIAC this time while MODL list was removed, both time my agent was very slow in launching case, now for "State Sponsorship" i am confused whether i go with agent again i pay him consultancy fees or i launch my case my self. Can anyone please advise me if i launched case for state sponsor ship, is that easy for me to go for it, or i must obtain help from any agent.

Regards,

Dear Kaijaz;

You are qualified enough to lodge your case, by yourself.

Thanks.

A lot of people do not use agents at all as some are how you have found yours to be.
Your agent should also keep you advised of latest changes that are occurring with the Immi regulations and you may find for instance that your occupation could be on a State Migration Plan when they are anoounced.

There is a link to latest changes and comments in sticky thread at the top of page.
Have a read of those and it may help you for it sounds like you are paying an agent a lot of money for little progress to date.

The state nomination applications are similar to the visa applications though a little simpler and you can get whatever documentation you need back from the agent and submit a state sponsorship application yourself.
