I sent mine in December, I got a confirmation letter immediately (sent the day after it arrived), and was approved about 2 weeks later. If you didn't get a confirmation letter, I would consider contacting them to see if it ever arrived. Did you get delivery confirmation?

Hi- OK, we had a little bit different situation. If it says 16 weeks on the website, and you got your confirmation letter, I would wait for 16 weeks before contacting them.

Dear Mohsin,
My CDR was confirmed being received by Engineers Australia on 24 Feb 2009 and my positive assesment letter was issued on 23 April 2009; about 8 weeks...... Of course it depends on the back log; may take longer in some cases.
Hope this would be of help.
Regards
Salim

You would be better to start your own thread if you have some questions in regard to visa application and meanwhile have a read starting from Workers - Visas & Immigration to consider options in looking at latest regulations to be introduced, a sticky thread at top of section with a link for that.
