Form 80 no longer in document checklist?

Hello all,

Checking the immigration website today for the Partner Visa (onshore), I noticed that they removed the former document checklist (that was a pdf file) and they replaced it with just a section within that page listing the information.

In that section, Form 80 is no longer mentioned as a requirement to submit the application.

I also checked the checklist within Form 47SP (11/13) and it is also not mentioned anymore.

Am I missing something or does that mean that it is no longer required to front load this form to apply? I have been keeping up to date as I have to apply for my partner visa in January and I am 100% sure that recently it said "A completed Form 80 must be provided"

Edit to add link: http://www.immi.gov.au/Visas/Pages/801-820.aspx

My guess is it's probably an oversight - but who knows. I'm sure lots of people were happy if it were no longer required!

By the time you're ready to apply, though, the application process will be online anyway.

College Girl, when will the partner visa application process be online? I'm applying early December and I already have all the paperwork printed etc. Please tell me I haven't wasted my time!

They had originally said November 22, but it's gotten pushed back to December 6. I can't say for sure, but I imagine they will continue to take paper applications, at least for a while.

It seems like it's not mentioned unless you follow an old link. It's interesting. We're applying next week. SO then we'll see.

I just read this thread and had no idea that the visa applications will soon be online, where on the immi website does it say this? We're applying for the 820 at the end of December and have printed all our application and evidence and organised it precisely in order, does anyone know if online applications will be the only way of submitting them or will paper applications still be an option?

Hi abby603,
Ive been searching this forum and you are the only successful online 820 application i have come across so far (congratulations by the way). Just wondering if you actually did end up including a form 80? Also it would be awesome if you could give me a quick run down of what you uploaded with your application? Your application was approved literally in days?? So good to find success stories in such small times frames.
Hope to her from you soon.
