reason for a 1 year tourist visa

Hi im in a defacto relationship with the same sex in sydney and he has a diabetes but he still work. One of the requirements for the visa is we must live atleast 1 year together. I already ask before if I can tell the IMMI the truth that i will use the 1 year in preparation with my defacto visa. Now Ive been thinking to use this sentence below so that they will grant my 1 year visa.

"My fiancee has diabetes and im concerned about his health so i decided to stay with him for a year so that I can help him in any way that I can and while im there I can also visit some of my close friends."

Do you think this will be a nice reason so that IMMI will grant me.

It might be considered a bit of overkill re the diabetes for most people do just live with it and possibly many living with who do not even know they have it.

Why not just say you've got friends in Australia and want to have as much time as possible visiting.
