My ACS application status changed to "With assessor". It says "Please allow up to 10 days if living in Australia or 21 days for overseas for your result letter to arrive.". I am overseas applicant. Does this mean I have to wait 21 days to receive the result by post or I can see the result within 10 days online? During this time, does ACS contacts my current employer or do reference checks? Appreciate your input.

Hi Willis,

1. If you are overseas you should get it between 10 to 21 days
2. There is no way for you to see the results online
3. Its only when your status says 'Case finalised' that you can start counting the days to receive the letter
4. And there is no way for you to know the result until the letter comes in
5. If its says with Assessor , they must have already contacted whoever needs tobe contacted
6. Based on my case, it didnot take long for the status to move from 'with assessor' to 'case finalised'

So, you should have your result in less than a month !!

Good luck and hope its positive

That's right. ACS already sent me the post tracking number so it's already on the way. It took only 4 days including weekends after status move to "With assessor". However, my status hasn't yet changed to "Case finalized". Anyway, as far as the result is sent, it doesn't matter what is the status, I guess.

I finally got the ACS letter today. The letter says that "Your skills have been assessed to be suitable for migration under 2231-11 of the ASCO code, being the skilled occupation indicated that you intend to nominate in a General Skilled Migration application."
ASCO code 2231-11 is "Computing Professional - Systems Manager" which I didn't find in the new SOL. Does this code need to match exactly as the one in SOL or I can apply for something closer to this professional such as "Systems Analyst". Could somebody tell me what options do I have now? Thank you.
