Thumbs up Partner Visa-309

Hi All,

I have filled my partner visa application, on 26th july,'2013 and its been, almost 18 weeks now, but no case officer has been assigned.

Is anyone is facing the same issue... there is no communication from the department.

Or is there anyone who got the TR, in these days....

Regards

4.5 months is a very short period of time. I believe the wait is currently 6 months from India, but processing times are increasing everywhere so it could be longer. (I've been waiting 7 months right now and I'm from the US). They will only contact you if they need additional information you've not provided. It's not uncommon to hear nothing from them until visa grant if you've already provided medicals and police checks.

Tks alot dear for the revert,

Yes indeed 4.5 months is a short time, but as per the immigration rule, the case officer will be assigned by 10-12 week, but its been 17 weeks, no case officer has been assigned.
I am little bit worried that why this is happening. hope every thing is on track.

and yes my medicals and police check was done in the very first week of submission.

regards
Sumit

Yes. The senior officer is the Australian officer who will sign off on the decision. The case officer makes the decision but the senior signs it off. It is just like any government department really.

Hey guys,

How are you?
Partner Visa processing time frame at the Australian High Commission New Delhi has gone up recently.
They are taking between 20-21 weeks since the Date of Application to allot a Case Officer to a file.

It has been over 26 weeks (over 6 months) for me since the date I applied and I still don't have a CO. Everytime I called AHC they gave me the same answer "the standard processing time frame is 12 months, so please kindly wait and have patience and blah blah blah....".

AHC New Delhi seems to have started using a new method for processing Partner Visa for the applicants who have applied during late July 2013 and onwards. These applicants are getting Acknowledgement Letter and HAP IDs usually within the first 15-20 days of their application submittion.
Now the name of the officer on that letter is not the name of your Case Officer; s/he is just an officer who generated that Acknowledgement Letter and HAP ID for you.
I was made known of this new thing when I called AHC in November 2013. And was also asked to wait for CO allocation.

Following link will show you the current processing time frame of family visas at AHC New Delhi:-
CURRENT AVERAGE PROCESSING TIMES - Australian High Commission

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but its going to be a loong wait till we get the good news. Good Luck to you. Please keep us posted if you hear anything.

Kind Regards,
Becky
